Jake, Reese, Bag and Hats arrive safely at LAX, 4 May
The good news is Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon made it safely back to LAX last night after their long flight from Italy. The bad news is that The Bag also made it safely back to LAX last night. Not surprisingly, it attracted attention and, fortunately, Jake was able to disassociate himself from it in a manoeuvre shown in slow motion below. The hats survived the journey intact, which is more than can be said for Reese's shoes - I hope they catch the animal that did that to them.

Hey WDW, your funny post just enlightned this unexpected rainy and windy May day here in Italy, it must have been Jake leaving us, it brought back the cold even. Damn you, Jake.;)
The imagined account of the wedding is just hilarious, I keep on laughing histerically thinking about Peter copying Roberto Benigni's speech at the Oscars!:D

WDW, the bag was obviously a subject for heated bartering between Jake and the elderly, white-haired gentleman. Apparently, Jake is an old softy, since he eventually relinquished the bag. The Old fellow looks quite pleased with his find!
LOL! Those shoes are horrible! I will never understand rich people buying ugly, poor looking things on purpose.
I am truly sorry that The Hat made it back in the US. Does anyone here know someone at customs? Maybe we could have had it confiscated. I don't think we need any other reason than it's uglyness on Jake's head. :D I'm not surprised the bag made it too, who would want to steal that? It looks like a bag my old aunt would use :D
The imaginary wedding vows were quite funny but the quote from Khalil Gibran was really beautiful.

Hi Olympia! I can honestly say those are the worst shoes I have ever seen. I know I know nothing about shoes but still... Kind of like Roman sandals but not. Ahh yes, we reach desperate measures for The Hat - I fear Jake may be wearing it to tantalise us with glimpses of his hair.

Those fringey sandals are "in" lately. I once read that Reese's daughter tries to "help" mom pick out "cool stuff." LOL! I've definitely seen worse.
Reese's fashion sense is usually pretty boring and conservative. Nothing to turn heads. If you want to see a trainwreck, Perez Hilton has a photo of Madonna at the Fashion Institute Gala in NYC, and he has a picture of Frank the Rabbit next to it! Said Reese looks like Frank from Donnie Darko! LOL!
The wedding vows are hilarious and I happen to like the hats on both of them. It's a phase. They'll tire of it.

Hi Anon! Reese looks like Frank in DD?! Chuckle :D Ahh Madonna, well no argument there... I do think children should stick to junk food and computer games and not try to dress their mothers. Hope you're right about the hats - Jake does tend to wear things in phases. It could be worse - The Hat with the Bird Plaid Shirt! I had a really good laugh over the wedding vows too :)
Argh!!!! Don't even joke about The Hat with those bird shirts!!! Do you want orange crocs with that? You don't want to give Jake any ideas now. Hum...not that he ever listens to us anyways. Or maybe he does this on purpose just to contrary us. How about if we tried reverse psychology?
Oh Jake! I just looooove that hat of yours! Please keep wearing it for the rest of your life, every minute of it. I can't get enough! And be sure to wear your sandals with socks too every day. I think that's the sexiest thing! Oh yeah...that's sooo good...

Hi everyone, I'm going to have to side with Silver on the hat. I really love the hat on Jake but I do think that he's going a bit overboard with it at the moment. I wish we could see his gorgeous self hatless every once in awhile:)
I have to say I like Reese's shoes aswell. I wouldn't be gone on the colour though.

That was a very funny set of imagined wedding vows. :-) I found myself getting addicted to looking at Maggie's blue eyes in the photo. Her whole face, really. I don't know why I find it so compelling, but I do.... All this, and genuine acting talent, too.
The thing is, I'm sure Jake and Reese are as proud of Maggie and Peter as anyone could be.
Hi Paul! The imagined vows were very funny. I read that a family friend officiated at the wedding. Of course, there's no way to know if this is true or not, but I do like the sound of that.
