X marks the spot - On the Jake Gyllenhaal treasure trail

I'm glad to see that all that research in the smugglers inns and pirate bays of Cornwall has paid off - for tonight we are on a quest for treasure! But I cannot take credit for the choice for today's post. The first WDW poll (on favoured Jake Gyllenhaal bits) has closed, the votes have been counted and verified, and now we gather for the result.*

There was drama: a recount was demanded after Jake's chest gathered votes in the closing hours, but we can now declare Jake's Tum and associated treasure trail the winner, just 2% ahead of the chest and 4% ahead of arms and derriere. Perhaps not surprisingly, Jake's back was last, which is no reflection on the back but more a realisation that it is difficult to look at Jake's back and face at the same time. In the coming hours and days, no doubt, serious analysis will ensue to determine what these results will mean for us in the longterm. Thanks to every one of you who took the time to vote!

Jake's treasure trail is rarely spoken of without hushed tones - its place in Gyllendom is almost legendary, perhaps even reaching the heights of the ages-old obsession of what scent Jake wears. Fortunately, Jake loves to show it and others like to show it for him. It's a win-win situation.

But the tummy is even more than the treasure trail.

Let us hope that Jake never has to face the day that Ashton Kutcher once had to face - the actor had to wax his treasure trail (and chest) in order to look like his stunt double. If Jake has to have stunt doubles, may they be hairy.

*No expenses were claimed during the democratic process, except for a pack of rich tea biscuits, which kept me fortified while writing multiple posts for several eventualities (I didn't do a feet post...).

OMG, what a post, you've brought out the heavy artillery, and I'm rendered absolutely stunned at the moment. Will have to comment later! :)

My word is "cainterw". Not sure what that means, except I cain't do anything, which is about how stunned I am by the post! LOL Back when I'm coherent. ;)

*drooling*

nice post... very nice and erm... very yummy... and very lickable... :)

i would like to point out that the last pic of Jake, always reminds me of his past "Euro rent boy pose" period. And you know he's not all that innocent from way back... *g*

I've always liked the one where it looks like he's trying to escape from a woman who's tearing his shirt off (the red-and-white Oxford shirt). Hee! ;)

Number seven, the black and white, with the sexy expression, has always been a serious favorite of mine tho. :)

Hey Winterbird - me drooling too :D That is quite some pic - I don't post it lightly...

Hi Anon! I really like that Flaunt pic too - maybe cos I can empathise with it so much :D No 7 is one of my all time favourites though. I have that magazine framed.

Good morning! Mmmmmh... That is some tummy for breakfast...
Here is my contribution:

I know it has some chest, but I think the full effect only shows with the ribs and everything else in the picture, too. When you only have the TT sometimes the twirlyness/ swirlyness seems to get lost (LOL, that's some early morning treasure trail science...)

Pic #8 - the one with the owl t-shirt - is just to die for... Especially since it features those well-defined thingies on the sides right above his hips (what are they called??)

Pic #18 - with the striped beach towel - is probably the perfect tummy pic, since it has some really serious tummy going, lol... Kind of cute... Or is it just his super abs relaxing cause they are on a day off at the beach? :D :D

It's a pity that they seem to have cropped the TT for the PoP. I wouldn't have minded some cropping of chest hair (not shaving but cropping), but the TT needs to stay untouched! What were they thinking??

LOL, I feel a little like a pervert, sitting here at breakfast, scrutinizing Jake's tummy and TT... But what can I do? It's all Jake's fault, he made me do it!!!

Now, I am a bit sad, that the derriere lost... I hope you won't forget about it and do a post at a later time! :D :D

Have a good Monday everyone! Who is working? Here in Germany we have a holiday due to Whit Monday!

Hey Uli! Lovely pic :D Hmmmm, I will study it... I like the Thingies too - no idea what they're called. Maybe I should do a thingies post. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't notice some TT PoP cropping had gone on - I'll study that too! I've not forgotten the derriere :D

Have a lovely day off - you've got a good day for it if it's anything like here *)

What a yummy post! It's hard to click away from these pictures and get on with my day. I will blame YOU, and everyone on this site who voted, if I have a difficult time being productive today!!

*can't wait for the other body parts I know we will eventually see*

:-)

Have a great day!

Hey BBMISwear *) It's not doing much for my productivity levels either! Brightening up a Monday back in the office though... Have a lovely day :-)

Btw. Heath won Best Villain at the MTV Awards. They only announced it, they didn't show it. Hm...
Anyway, happy he won. :)

Thanks Jake Fan! And that's good news about Heath's award - thanks for letting us know :)

My word is noons - I wish it was evenings.

Oh! Just...Yum!!! Very, very good post! :)

What an excellent pics selection, it's hard to choose a favorite. The owl shirt is a classic but I have always had a soft spot for #14, the one on the sun chair with the book. He's absolutely gorgeous and he looks so relaxed.

I hope everyone is having a good day!

I would have commented earlier, but I was incapable of finding words. Any words. :P

Good to see you Olympia! I hope you're having good weather over there, too. I think the owl one is my fave from all these but I do like to see Jake relaxing by a pool with a book (especially with no shirt... ahem...).

Hey Rubes! That is the effect of the TT - it robs us of speech. Glad you got it back this evening *)

Factors have conspired against a post this evening but hopefully Jake's TT and Tum will make up for it! Have a good evening everyone!

What a post. I'm left lost for words too:) Don't know how I'm going to concentrate on work after that.

Thanks for making this sunny day even better WDW.

Hi Carol! I'm so glad this made a sunny day even sunnier :D

I love democracy...when it works it's just splendid! As is Jake's torso. My favorite torso shots are accompanied by a certain look in his eyes and a particular way of smiling that he has.

That torso would have cause great excitement in Phidias' workshop, non?

Sorry for the delay, but I was busy at the weekend with some guests from London (am still in Rome now).
What a lovely post, WDW... I'm still drooling... not just the pics, but the text in the post is the perfect accompaniment for the gylly-tummy and the legendary TT.
Thank you so much, and I hope like you that Jake will never have to shave it!
Love & hugs
