New sizzling Prince of Persia pictures - the prince is wet!

Empire has released more photographs of the Prince of Persia to accompany its feature in the September issue - and these come with a serious health warning. Not only is Jake Gyllenhaal hot, he's also wet. And there's chest. And action. And he's wet. And hot.

I think Gemma might be in the photos too but I'm not too sure. Let me know if you can spot her.

TOO HAWT FOR WORDS!

it's good that it's only 20 degrees here today, otherwise, these pics will spontaneously combust!

the first pic looks like it's been enhanced, it looks almost like an oil painting! muscle oil painting *g*

Hi Winterbird! Only 20 degrees? It definitely feels hotter than that now! The pictures really do look like art - I love the colours and the light. And the costumes. I'll see if the mag is out today... Simly stunning - and hot! I wanted fountains and it looks like Bruckheimer's obliged :D

Still no sign of an ostrich...

I feel faint...

Hmmm.... it's like PoP version of Mr Darcy in wet shirt... only wayyyyyy hotter :)

Oh My God, the details are amazing - the costumes, the action implied by the hair flying, and droplets of water flying around, the colors of the balcony and buildings, even the photography has an "aged-ness" about it that looks like from another time, the colors have a faded look - the cool pale greens and the warm desert tones - what I imagine to be very authentic! Love Tamina's costume, every detail, her shoes, her braids. Dastan's gorgeous - amazing body. Love the coat too, and open shirt. I'm getting more impressed by this the more I see it.

There were a few "thuds", loud enough even to hear over here in Bratislava... So I had to come and check out what happened... :D :D :D

Damn, wet Jake in leather... I want to see that scene in motion!!!! *sighs*

Waves to everyone!!!

This is going to be magic - love his boots, the horse, the adornments on the horse, everything, everything looks natural and realistic, and the action just jumps out of the picture. His legs and chest are amazing. Where are they? India? It looks like there's a statue or carving of Ganesha on the wall in the back? I love these pics - it keeps getting better with every preview. The colors and costumes are amazing.

Wet Dastan is wayyyy better than Wet Darcy :D

Hi there Anon! I wish I wasn't at work, I wish I could examine the pictures more closely but I love what I've seen of the costumes, both Jake's and Gemma's - wonderful attention to detail. I love the design on the Prince's coat. And the open shirt and the trousers... OMG...

Hello Uli in Bratislava!! Glad you heard the thuds... The Prince pics are the perfect anecdote to Ukelele Jake :DD I can't wait to see this! Will my heart hold up to it...?

Hi 11:37 :D Posting at the same time... I've not been able to get a good look at the background yet but there were trade and cultural connections between Persia and India then - beautifully exotic :) You are so right about the action leaping off the screen. Gorgeous :)

Hi all just saw these pics on Empire. Oh my god....just what I need to get me through Monday:)

These pics are too hot for words. Can't wait to get home to examine them in the detail which they deserve!!!

OT I was at u2 in Dublin on Saturday night. What a show. The lads were at their best. Played just the right mix of classics and new material. The set is amazing. To anyone here who is going to any of the other dates you are in for a treat:)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Carol! U2 sound fabulous - I wish I could've gone. I'm glad you had such a good time :D

I'm looking forward to examining the pics too :D The mag's not in the shops yet as I checked and looking at the website it looks like it'll be out Thursday.

Not only is he wet, they're showing his chest hair. I always appreciate producers and directors who really know how to shoot Jake and use him well, you know? I am now officially a huge Bruckheimer/Newell fan...for the time being...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Oh yes, TD! Deep breaths...

I do agree, Anon :D And all producers/directors should take note. If you have Jake in your film, don't ignore the chesthair - and get him wet. Unfortunately, Brothers is set in a cold climate. Jake should do more desert films.

WOAH...THUD!!! HAWT!! What a way to start a Monday morning...mmmmmm.

* Fanning Get Real * Hi there! I don't know if I've ever seen Jake look hotter... Unbelievable. I wonder how long the film will last for - I'm hoping for a three hour epic. Have a good day!

New Jake pics should be a requisite for every Monday :D

OMG!! I'm glad we get to see that first picture before the movie comes out because God knows how I would have reacted in the theater! If I didn't have a heart attack, I would have probably squeed. Out loud. In a very undignified manner. He. Looks. Amazing!!! I want to be rescued by that wet, sexy, leather wearing Prince. *sigh*

I hope he stays wet a lot of the movie, his hair looks so much better that way.

Yes, this is a beautiful Monday! :D

Empire will probably be in the shops on Wednesday. It's usually available a day earlier than it's says on their website.

He looks amazing. I love the chest hair; and that it doesn't look overly groomed. Yay! :)

Back home and settling down to enjoy these pictures properly for the first time. They certainly seem to have taken the net by storm... I cannot wait for this film... I say that a lot, I'm sorry, but I can't help it!!

Hi Olympia! IN the games the Prince has to revive himself continually in water! I do hope they're faithful to the games.... ;D I honestly don't know how I'll stay sane in the theatre! I'll be the fangirl in the front row with the supply of oxygen :D

Ooh thanks Carol. I'm keeping my eyes open. Oh and I saw that Jim Sheridan and Natalie also saw U2 this weekend! I wonder if they're planning something for Brothers in Ireland - it's possible.

Hi Anon! I don't know which bit of Jake to look at first here to be honest :D The chest is way up on the list though... ahem...

I've just been at my spinning class and I thought about the Prince all the way through :D

I especially like the expression on the Prince's face in the photo where he and the princess are on a horse.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

I like that, too, Paul :) I'm wondering what's following them...

I am so late to this party that everyone pretty much said what is coming out of my mouth right now (can you believe this was my first chance on line today)?! I think most of you are already in bed for the night! Sorry to repeat things but I couldn't miss putting my 2 cents in:

First thought (just like WDW) 'Oh...My...God'

Next thought (and no one put it better than Uli) 'Damn, wet Jake in leather'

And Olympia really nailed it with her thoughts regarding being thankful we saw these pictures BEFORE seeing the movie...can you imagine our reactions if these scenes caught us off guard while in the theater?! OMG!!

I almost didn't comment at all because, like Carol said, 'These pics are too hot for words'

So many perfect Too Hots and THUDs and Gaaaads from everyone here...It's nice to know we're all on the same page...LOL!

Wow...just...Wow...

I gotta go look at these pictures again (make sure someone checks on me tomorrow in case I don't come up for air).

*falls over*

Good morning everyone!

Hey BBMISwear! How are you doing?! I feel like we're all in a state of shock after these pics. And they seem to have got even hotter over night :P I think I'll take another look... :-)

Have a good day everyone :D

Having regained consciousness I thought it might be worth noting that:
a) if you type 'Jake Gyllenhaal wet' into Google, WDW may not be the top spot any longer
b) it's slightly reassuring that Jerry appears to be aware of a primary target PoP audience that is not a 12 year old boy (most of them, anyway)

I'm just going to open both pics in separate browser windows so I have them in eyeball range all day...

I'm back here again...I just can't get enough! Laughing out loud at WDW and TD...WDW thinks the pictures got hotter over night...hee hee...is anyone even able to concentrate at work?!

And TD - this is so true: "it's slightly reassuring that Jerry appears to be aware of a primary target PoP audience that is not a 12 year old boy (most of them, anyway)" I'm LMAO! Does Disney know that they struck gold?! The money they are going to make off of...ahem...'non-12-year-old boys' is going to blow them away! I actually thought about this when I registered on the Disney website (something I never thought to do before - not even when my son was real young and watched Disney movies on a daily basis). Suddenly a mad rush of 'non-12-year-old boys' registering on the Disney website the day the PoP teaser site is up and running...a coincidence?! NOT!!

Have fun looking at the pics (2 windows is a great idea)! I vowed to catch up on post-vacation work before I go anywhere near those pictures again or else nothing will get done. Well, maybe a quick peek...

:-)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi TD! I like the idea of two windows :D It's not for nothing that I have Wet in the title of the blog :D Yep, we are an audience to be counted!

Hey BBMISwear :D I registered too! Very definitely not a 12 year old boy. They did adult only viewings of Harry Potter at my local cinema - let's hope they do the same for PoP! :-)

I love these pics - the 2nd one is starting to be my favorite, I love his expression too, and what an amazing body - yummy. Gemma is beautiful in it as well. I love his hair, it's perfect. :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Anon :D I can't decide between the two of them. I love the details of the costume in the second one, and the expression, and also Gemma. But the wetness of the first is so.... distracting... Perfect :D

winterbird said...

LOL at WDW and BBMiswear registering at Disney... we are going to spike up their average age :P

To be honest, PoP is not my thing, but to quote someone from Towleroad, "oh Jake oh Jake, this looks totally not for me, and I am totally be queuing up on the first day."

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there Winterbird! I think Hot Jake will be quite a draw and PoP will get a huge range of audience :D I like the look of this marketing - it seems to have Jake fans in mind :)
