[Update] A walk in Venice Beach. More Mini Jakes to come! and Martha's Vineyard Part 2

Update: After what's been quite a while, it's great to have new pictures of Jake out and about. Jake and Reese were on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice Beach on Sunday, walking back from Intelligentsia where they purchased Red Stuff. A worrying development is the new hat. Thanks IHJ! You can see many more there.

We have a shopping list for May 2010 - time to make room for a lot more than just lego ostriches and camels. McFarlane Toys have announced a new range of Prince of Persia toys that will include figures based on the 'exact likeness' of Jake Gyllenhaal. The 'toy line allows fans of all ages to bring home all the excitement and adventure of the live-action movie with a range of movie figures, battle horses, play sets, and even a collectible movie replica weapon all hitting retailers nationwide in conjunction with the movie’s release in May 2010.'

We will have fully articulated deluxe (6 inch) and standard (4 inch) action figures of Warrior Dastan and Desert Dastan. Then there's the elaborate battle horse set including a 4 inch articulated Dastan. Not forgetting the Alamut Gate play set with another Mini Jake who will have to dodge spear pits and other devious traps and contraptions. Finally, you can get an exact replica of the 10 inch Dagger of Time. No word yet on whether we can expect life-size and articulated replicas of Jake Gyllenhaal himself but it's a possibility - make some space, especially if you'll have more than one.

Martha's Vineyard Roadtrip Part 2

Jake once revealed that his favourite place on earth was Gay Head and its cliffs, on the end of Martha's Vineyard. I can now see why.

Back in Boston, having been driven off the island by tropical storm Danny, BBMISwear and I met up with a very special friend.

Includes pictures from IHJ, WDW and Ted and BBMISwear. I owe huge thanks to BBMISwear for providing me with very fun memories - they will be treasured!

Hi! I have been enjoying myself for the last 3 hours at a car fixing place (err, I never know how you call that... :D :D :D) waiting for my car to get fixed...
I hope they will be done with it soon...
But at least I had the opportunity to check out your new post!!

Jake's new hat in first pic: Good!
Jake's new hat in second pic: Not so good!
Again, it just depends on how he wears it!
Haven't seen Jake in flipflops in a long time! I wonder if those are the same ones we saw in the summer of 2006?? Aaaaah, good memories!!

Mmmmh, so we can get Jakes to play with next summer, huh? I am tempted, LOL!

LOL at the last two pics of the post! You must feel like Jake now! How does it feel????

Hugs to everyone!
Uli

PS: My word is mitrunh - looks like from some language from the British island from ancient times...

It's so great to see new pics of JAKE! These new photos are okay, I guess...but I like a certain one you included further down much, much better! Just sayin'. :-)

I must add more shelves to the Green Room to make room for the PoP toys...Yay!! LOL at Ostriches and Camels!!

Ahhhh...Gay Head...heavy sigh. Beautiful. What memories. *trying not to get too emotional now that I'm home and back with my to do list*

Leave it to Uli to pick up on something so obvious (to some of us)...where WDW strategically put herself in the photo!! She did that more than once during our "let's take a photo" moments while hanging out with Ted in Boston this weekend! I'm laughing at the fact that Uli picked up on this and Ted didn't even get it at first!! Men!! (hee hee...just kidding)

And I owe WDW thanks for some of the most unique memories ever...I honestly can't stop smiling just thinking about some of the zany stuff we did! Life certainly is what you make it, huh?!

Well...back to RL for me...lots to catch up on. I will be counting on recaps of your last couple of days in Boston, WDW, to keep me from drowning in work. UGH!

The MV pics looks gorgeous! And windy... LOL. you all look in such high spirits :) You're surrounded by special friends in a special place... awww.

New pic of Jake... not approving the hat, the colour is wrong, the size is wrong, the shape is wrong... but I guess his sunny smile make it for it.

Morning everyone! I've at long last managed to get up in the most fabulous hotel... I could get used to this.

Uli! Ugh, poor you with the garage - not a lot of fun. You are so right about the hats, sometimes Jake just suits them and other times he picks the worst possible one. And it doesn't fit! But the smile is good. I'm not a foot person but I'll let Jake off here - I'm so generous :D

I did feel like Jake! We did other pics, as BBMISwear says below, with me and Lisa making sure that we were positioned in The Pic and Ted didn't realise! I said once that we needed to be in the right order and he said 'By height?' Such good times :D

Hey BBMISwear! Good to see you. I thought RL might reclaim you :) After a couple of nights in The Green Room, I definitely want to see it fulled with the whole caboodle. We can reenact the whole film!

Gay Head.... Very special. But no lattes :DD

I hope you have a good day today and expect some pics later today! :-)

Hi Winterbird! We were lucky with Gay Head - we got there just as the storm clouds were starting to come in but we had a fine view. We could have done with much more time there to explore.

I like the sunny smile too :)

I hope everyone has a good day. I know it's a holidsy in the UK today so that'll help! I have a date with some humpbacks :)

Loved the MV visit, Gay Head sure is a beautiful place.

Not thrilled about Jake's hat (I'm sure you're all shocked), but it's very slightly less uggly than The Other One. I'm pretty sure my grampa had one just like it. *sigh*

I can't imagine how it feels like to see yourself as a toy. That must be so weird! I think I'll keep my money for the action figures instead of the Legos but I'm very disapointed that there's not an articulated ostrich in any of the sets! :D And sign me up for a couple of those life-size fully articulated Jakes, I've got the space!

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Morning Olympia! I'm counting on there being an ostrich too... I want a fleet of them! I can't wait to see these toys, but yes, it must be odd. But I think Jake would find it funny :)

I prefer this hat to the last hats but it makes me think he's going boating.

They don't call it Gay Head anymore. It's reverted to its Indian name. Starts with an M, I think. Enjoy the humpbacks, WDW. They're really good company. If your very nice, they'llsing to you.:)

Hi Anon! There were no signs there that it's called anything but Gay Head - that's the name on all the maps, postcards and signposts and all over the buildings there. But there is a place beginning with an M just a mile or two away along the coast. I cannot wait to see the whales - it's been an ambition of mine for as long as I can remember. I'll let you know how I geet on!

Who is the person you call Ted, WDW? Is he the guy who was in some of your pictures?

I never liked sandals or flipflops, but that means very little here, because my feet are not the feet everyone wants to see more of. If Jake's feet are visible, isn't that a good thing even if the style of his fliflops isn't very....stylish? Just wondering.

I'm not WDW, but I can firmly say, without equivocation, that anytime any part of Jake is visible it's a good thing. From the tips of his toes to the top of his head.

Hi there everybody! What a loooong and oceany day.

Hi Paul! Yes, that is the famous Ted - known and loved by many as DontwanttosayGB who, with BBMISwear took part in their excellent adventure of meeting Jake during Nailed :D I'm not keen on flipflops myself but Jake is the exception :D

Hi there anon! It is very true that if I have to look at feet, it's good that they're Jake's feet. And I definitely agree that Jake can never be uncovered enough!
