What with all the excitement of trying to catch little glimpses of the filming currently going on in Pittsburgh, it's been easy to overlook the fact that another Jake Gyllenhaal movie is getting much closer - Brothers. Having said that, though, it's not entirely our fault because less money has been spent on the publicity for this film than I spend on skinny lattes in a week. But today we have something!
Little actress Bailee Madison has appeared on Clevver TV to talk about her role as Isabelle, one of the children ensnared in the dangerous triangle of mum, dad and Uncle Tommy. Bailee gives a wonderful account of a happy set, where she was welcomed into a family and learned a great deal from Natalie and Jake. Bailee also has some very nice things to say about the talented Jake and his ability to slip into the zone. There was the added bonus of snow and plenty of snow angels. Thanks BBMISwear :-)
Nevertheless, the excitement continues to spill over from the 'Burgh. There are now Tweets placing Anne Hathaway on set, in the company of a very chilled Jake. Yet again, I must urge the population of Pittsburgh to never leave home without their camera. As the vast majority of the city's inhabitants are actually in Love and Other Drugs, one would hope a picture is a dead cert. Reese has also been tweeted as visiting the set today, along with her dog which was accidentally described as 'ugly' by a student.
There may be no pictures of the actors themselves, but we have the next best thing - late 1990s VCRs, TVs and Sony Walkmen. Yes, the geek in me enjoys some new photographs of the Love and Other Drugs set. It makes a change from photos of trucks (there have been more of those today, as well). More interiors here.
Katheryn Winnick has also posted some more pictures from the shoot yesterday, both of which involve plenty of water. I'm grateful to Katheryn for taking us to work with her.
A reminder to vote - you have til Sunday!
Pictures with thanks from links.

Bailee is so articulate for her age. Much better than many veteran actors.
I hope she has a great future.
Dog ugly?
Attie?
Thanks for all information.
What a nice interview with Bailee. Though when she mentions someone being in the zone she was talking about Toby Maguire's character not Jake's (I think Toby's character is named Sam and Jake's is named Tommy)

Hi Monica! Such a bright girl - I wish her well. Heaven forbid that was Atti they were talking about!
Hey Sweetpea - I think she got the names muddled - she was talking about sitting at the dinner table with Jake when he was so intense. Easy mistake to make. Such a good interview :)
OMG this clip has made me feel a whole lot better than I have been feeling all day:)
How cute is Bailee and so mature for her age. I definitely think she has a bright future ahead of her. I recall seeing her before in House.
Ugly - they definitely can't have been talking about Atti.
I think the ugly dog must be Reese's dog, I think Frank Sinatra is his name. Don't ask me why I remember this (because I really don't care about Reese- related things), maybe because I think it's a stupid name for a dog and actually, he is kind of ugly. They couldn't possibly have been talking about Atti, he's such an adorable dog with that floppy ear. :)
That was a really nice interview with Bailee. I thought the same thing as Monica, some adults aren't as articulate as her!
I hope everyone has a great week-end, it's a long one here. Yay!
Olympia
I'm so glad this video made you feel a little better, Carol *) What a smart girl, and soaking up all this experience. I love interviews like this as they enrich the movie for me. I would never normally be bothered about that, but for a Jake film, I want to get as much from it as possible. Great to see it and thanks to BBMISwear for sending me the link this morning.
Hi Olympia! Frank Sinatra? That's a dog name? I hate to get at dumb animals but I have seen a picture of Reese's dog and it's the kind of dog I think only a mother woud love... Definitely can't be Atti! That's a dog overflowing with character and handsomeness :DD
A long weekend? I'm so jealous - can I have one of those?
I hope everyone's having a good evening! I'm trying to unwind after a long first week in my new job... it's good to see you all here, distracting me :D
That ugly dog is definitely Reese's I'd say.
I've been a huge Reese fan for years but I agree her taste in dogs is definitely questionable!!!
All dogs are beautiful to the people who love them.
If the dog is ugly, it can't help being that way, and the only good thing about this is that very little of consequence is going on. An ugly dog is not going to bring about the end of the world. :-)
Today I saw "The Invention of lying," which has a Jake link: Jeffrey Tambor, who plays the boss who fires the main character. He was in "City Slickers" with Jake.
Speaking of previews, there are a lot of interesting-looking movies coming up, especially "Men Who Stare at Goats."
Good morning everyone! Sun's out and it's the weekend :D
Morning Carol! It is an ugly dog for sure. I hope you're feeling better today :D
Very true, Anon, and maybe it has a good character to compensate :D
Hi Paul! But what about when it gets wet? Then an ugly wet dog could be most unpleasant. Who was it that said that nothing smells worse than a wet dog? I hope that Men Who Stares at Goats is more interesting than it sounds... :D
Have a good day everyone! Hoping for pics from set!
Bailey is very bright and expressive, isn't she? I can't wait to see Brothers. Loving all the info about LaOD. All dogs are cute to me, especially German Shepherds, very princely dogs. :)
Oh, my favorite Moonlight Mile scene! And of course Hal . . .

"it's been easy to overlook the fact that another Jake Gyllenhaal movie is getting much closer - Brothers". I actually think about it daily...LOL!! But, you're right, the LOAD sneak peeks have been very exciting...and the more I see the more interesting this movie looks! That Bailee Madison is something, huh? I love these inside looks too and was happy to pass it on. *waits patiently for more Brothers PR*
Olympia cracks me up and makes me smile...just had to say that!!
:-)
Oops, sorry, meant to say Bailee! And how could I forget to mention Renditon Jake, the only word that comes to mind is Deelish. :)
Bertie
I`m glad I made you smile, BBMIswear. :) You and WDW and the great bunch of posters we have here make me smile and laugh everyday. This is a great place!
Olympia
Dang! Bathtubs and swimming pools! Where's Jake??? You can't have those kinds of scenes and not have Jake in them. Appropriately dressed.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Feeling much better today WDW.
I have to agree with Olympia. I love visiting and chatting with WDW and everyone here. Always makes me smile. Thanks to everyone:)
Hi there everyone! Back from a lovely day out in the Cotswolds, enjoying the autumn sun :)
Hi Bertie! You're mentioning some very fine Jakes there! I agree about German Shepherds - I've met some very nice ones :D
Hey BBMI(Swear :-( I hope so much we get more Brothers PR soon - it's a very relaxed casual attitude to it so far.
Thanks Olympia! I absolutely feel the same - I love the smiles I get from chatting to my friends here :D
Absolutely Anon! These scenes are an absolute waste without Jake in them. I'm hoping that they indicate there's plenty more R rated stuff in this film :D
Glad you're feeling better, Carol! And thank you *) Me too.
My word is photon :D Very Trekkie...
Thanks to everyone who's voted - there is still a day to go so do vote if you haven't already! :D
She was so powerful in "Brothers". I didn't expect such a strong performance from a little girl. The children and Portman really add to the emotional events that unfold in the film. She so darn cute and articulate in that interview too!
