[Updated update] Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway on set, new Jake interviews (including a PoP one), new Brothers clips

Yep, you've guessed it - another update! This time, it's Love and Other Drugs. A local resident was fortunate enough to see Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway on the set last Friday and grabbed a quick film, plus some pictures of Jake's rather lovely movie porsche.

And another picture from the set, taken on 20 November and kindly posted by Coebabelghoti.

On with the post!

Anyone fancy starting the day with some more Jake Gyllenhaal? Me too! More videos and more clips (and quite a few funny faces). First off let's start with some Prince of Persia talk. Here you can watch and listen to Jake talk about learning how to run along walls while acting in a castle. And question of the day (and what really matters) - what do we think of the Love and Other Drugs hair that we see here?

In this interview, also for Access Hollywood, Jake talks about Brothers, acting with Tobey Maguire and the 'Three best actors of their generation' claims - there's also some confusion about 'sag' and 'shag'...

Jake has also been talking about the paparazzi. Here is the online clip. With many thanks to IHJ we can also see the longer TV version from Extra there. I don't know why there's a long gap here...

Meanwhile, we have a new clip from Brothers and this may well be my favourite so far.

Updated to add another clip - with also a lot of Jake.

I think its fair to say, I'll be back!

Includes pictures from links.

Morning everyone! I sense today will be another busy day! It starts with some more interviews - I love the faces Jake pulls here when talking about Tobey etc. And I'm not going to tire any time soon of hearing Jake talk about Prince of Persia.

Have a good day!!

OMG! I - again - can't watch the videos, but can see pics from them! He looks soooooooo lovely! I can't wait to get home on Thursday...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! Happy sigh! :D

My word: tingui... Yeah, I feel some tingling....

Hi Uli! Hurry home - Jake's waiting for you! He is very lovely. And gorgeous.

Question of the day...

What do we think of Jake's Love and Other Drugs hair (as in these AH vids)? I think I'm 8/10

Outstanding, that latest clip of Brothers - very real, and relatable. We have all been through this one, or something like it, when you lose a family member. :(

Love the Brothers hair, so much good stuff I'm going to have to go through it latah, or I'll be late! ;)

Sorry, the LaOD hair! :)

Hi Bertie! Those new Jake clips - OMG, talk about raw emotion.

I like Jake's voice/accent in Brothers.

The LAOD hair is good - it seems to do funny things at the back! I'm rather partial to the short Brothers hair myself but love this youthful, goofy LAOD look!

I think I need to apply for a new part-time job titled "watch Jake Gyllenhaal videos for hours" because this is somewhat becoming my daily routine anyway (and I really need to get some other things dones)!!! Remember we asked for this?! And we love this!! Maybe I'll just cut out sleep from my daily routine.

I caught up on tons of vids etc. last night and now more this morning...whew! All great stuff! I can't wait for the long holiday weekend to sit back with a big glass of wine (or 2 or 3) and watch these again. I recorded all the entertainment shows last night and will again tonight just in case - not sure what may be the same or different from what's been showing up on line so will check that out tonight (have to head out now otherwise would just lose a few more hours of this day doing that - ha ha)!!

You'll be back, I'll be back, we'll all be back WDW!! Exciting times!!

Oh...to answer your question...I love the LAOD hair!!!

:-)

OMG BBMISwear! It's exhausting! But fun :-) Thanks for keeping an eye out for vids, TV appearances and the like (not forgetting beloved Sesame Street, of course :D). I very wish that we had a Thanksgiving over here too - can we? please?

Just updated the post with another LAOD pic :D

Again, so much stuff! I know we asked for this but I didn't think we'd get this much at the same time. So we have Brothers in two weeks, POP in May and LAOD in November? That's 3 movies in one year and if we're lucky we could get Nailed somewhere in there (but I'm not holding my breath on that one). Phiewww... I think I'll apply for that job with BBMIswear. :D

The more I see of Brothers, the less I think I'll enjoy this movie and I'm pretty sure I'd never go see it if Jake wasn't in it. It will probably be a good movie but it looks too intense and depressing for my taste. Kind of like Rendition. I really (really!) enjoyed the first scene but not the rest. But, I'm a good Gyllenhaalic, I'll do my duty. Maybe I'll be surprised. :) I have to say I really hated the last clip of Tommy with his father. What a bastard! It gave me flashbacks to Jack, I bet that's how Old man Twist treated him. >:(

I look forward to all the pictures and interviews you will be posting as "Brothers" approaches its opening date, WDW. I love having this one-stop compendium. :-)

In related developments, "An Education" will soon be coming to my friendly local community theater. I'm not thrilled about the caliber of new movies we've been getting here lately. :-(

Me too, Olympia.

See you all later,

Paul, An Education is finally coming to my neck of the woods too - I saw a trailer for it the other night, got to hear a bit of Peter's accent. Looking forward to seeing it. :)

OK, I mean it this time, see you later! :)

WDW you amaze! What riches we have!
Jake is so adorable in these interviews I just want to climb in his lap and muss his hair and pinch his cheeks! But I'd never do that!

Peter is getting an award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in February. Jake got one in 2006. But it might be a different award at the same festival. I think there is some Oscar buzz surrounding Peter. Be itneresting to see if the BAFTA folk are as kind to him for playing an Englishman. (Colin Firth will definitely get nominated for a BAFTA. He'd better get nominated for an AMPAS too!)

How does it work, WDW? I'd always assumed that if we, here in the USA, have You Tube wouldn't the internet be international? Why is it you can't see some of the things we can see on the internet?
When there is something important happening around the world, people put it on the internet to give it attention.

Hi Olympia! I know - but I suppose there's less that when Zodiac and Rendition came out, but that was more spred out. This feels like a lot in a week! Practice for next year :D I'll be all right so long as I get put on a gin and tonic drip.

Thanks for being so honest about your feelings for Brothers. It's an interesting point about Jake - his films are so varied, they're not all going to appeal equally. I felt like that with Jarhead, which I thought I wouldn't like, but I loved it. Zodiac I knew I would adore from the moment I heard about it, Rendition I wasn't so sure.

PoP will wash over me with exquisite pleasantness! I just can't wait for it. Love and Other Drugs is one I'm particularly looking forward to - and Nailed. Brothers is the on I thought would least interest me, partly because I'm not a Tobey Maguire fan. I wasn't much of a Natalie fan either but she's won me over. But the clips I've seen, and the talk about it, and knowing it's Jim Sheridan makes me realise that Jake has made a fantastic choice, and I can't wait to see it now! Yeah, I'm a good Gyllenhaalic.

Jake makes me see good films I wouldn't otherwise see, or films on topics I wouldn't normally be interested in, while I also enjoy the prospect of easy films like TDAT and PoP.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the clips and having everything together, Paul. It makes it much easier for me too. That's great you'll get to see An Education. I could do with some more decent movies round here too...

Hey Bertie! Good to see you sticking around - just let those chores slip :D Love that you saw a trailer for An Education. I hope you see it!

Thanks so much 15:37! I wouldn't mind doing that too :D It's great about Peter, I was so delighted when I heard about that. Peter deserves these honours.

Unfortunately it works both ways - copyrighted material may be allowed in one territory but not in another. So, for example, BBC online programming is often not visible outside the UK and/or Europe while some material, such as Aol and NBC/CBS etc can't be seen out of the US. It's frustrating and means we have to pull together so as many people as possible can see as much as possible. It's a big reason to be so grateful to IHJ. When I can, I try and do things from this side of the pond.

Good days! I wonder what's next :D

Jake is sweet in the interviews. There is definitely something cuddly about him. I think he is just exhausted.

He's dead in the middle of the final days of a shoot, flies in for the media stuff, then runs right back to continue filming. It's a wonder his mind can keep track of which day of the week it is. I know I couldn't!

Interesting Jake thought of Tommy as learng disabled.

So much has happened since I've been offline for the last few days. Can't wait to get home and catch up on all the clips and pictures.

Hope you feel better today WDW.

Will be back later:)

Moving clip!! Natalie and Jake are wonderful really! so much intensity and chemistry between them. They should shout together more often : tragedy, comedy, adventure....anything!

I am more reserved about Tobey. I am like you WDW , not a fan of him. I knew him like everybody else throught the Spiderman franchise but that's all. And I always heard Jake was, at his beginning, always compared to him and even named "the second tobey" so I wanted to see more tobey's inde movie like "ace storm" or the one of Ang lee to make my own opinion.

Tobey is nothing like Jake but a little physic resemblance. he is less subtil and don't convey emotions naturaly, but more in the overacting. Oh well I have nothing against him of course , it's just my opinion. I guess you can't please everyone lol.

I cannot believe how much 'Jake Stuff' is out there right now. I'm already having withdrawal symptoms when all this ends. It's like Christmas come early.

The Brothers clip with him and Natalie is so cool. She had that look of deep anger towards Tommy (I really hate the way she cries though). Like you WDW, this is the clip I love the most. Brothers, like a runaway snowball is gathering momentum.

Great work WDW - get some sleep willya ;D

Thanks, Sweetpea!

Hi Debbie and welcome! These are busy days for Jake, but I hope he's enjoying it. He looks like he is. It's so good to see Jake promoting a movie again. Fortunately, Pittsburgh's not too far from NYC. That is an interesting thought about Tommy. It will make me see the character differently.

It really has, Carol! I hope things are getting better for you *)

Hi Samothrace! I agree about Tobey. I don't have anything against him. I've just not been that interested - except for Cider House Rules and that other film with Michael Douglas. I've not seen the Spider-Man films. I find the whole perception of Jake and Tobey looking alike as very amusing though!

Hi there Sheba! Better than Christmas :D The clip is amazing - and yes Natalie is so believable and it's heart wrenching - I've not seen this before from her. No rest for me, I'm afraid, new post!

He looks so young, XD! Lovely :)

Here we go again! New video, new pictures, new post!! See you over there :D
