Jake Gyllenhaal was in New York City yesterday, ostensibly to do a shoot for GQ. The real reason was so that he could be photographed with every single person in and around Time Square. Not surprisingly, there was a Jake Scrum in the streets and a lot of excitement on Twitter, with pics here and here. No doubt, this GQ will coincide with Prince of Persia, as can be seen with Gemma Arterton's own GQ release. Jake looks like he'll be a little bit more wrapped up in his... Source Code director Duncan Jones, meanwhile, celebrated at a pre-shoot party.

Disney has released some more beautiful stills from Prince of Persia (here via IHJ), giving us another look at Clothes Line Jake.
We have another account of Love and Other Drugs from an early screening. We are promised (by an Anne Hathaway enthusiast) 'significant deep-down feeling plus some heavy love scenes with ample nudity'.
'It's pretty ambitious story about the mid '90s Viagra boom and selling pharmaceuticals for Phizer. Hathaway, Hank Azaria. Oliver Platt plays Gyllenhaal's mentor, and it's probably the best role he's ever had, and perhaps his best performance. He teaches Gyllenhaal the ropes, and he has a really great speech toward the end. The story line, which is basically about Gylenhaal becoming a pharma salesman, is fairly complex. George Segal and Jill Clayburgh play his parents. Josh Gad is the fat younger brother -- the Jonah Hill character.'
The reviewer doesn't have eyes for much else than Anne Hathaway but he does mention: 'There's some lame orgy in the middle of it with Jakes accidentally overdosing on Viagra...girls at a party make him swallow too much of it, and he won't go down, resulting in priapism.' 'Lame'? LAME???

I was looking at the twit pics late last night and I think the person who described it as a Mob Scene had it right! Yikes! I have to wonder what the photo spread is going to look like after seeing the craziness in Times Square yesterday.

Did the mob in Time Square happen after the GQ shoot? They should have consulted us before choosing his photoshoot outfit, he`s clearly overdressed. I hope they
took some indoor shots. You don`t need an elaborate outfit to make Jake look good, look what VF did with ordinary pants and a plain T-shirt?

Hi Winterbird! Hmmm, Jake's in an orgy and it's called 'lame'!! I think not :D I noticed that about the pics too - Jake looks like the tallest man in NYC. I think some of the girls were out for a borthday party - but I think the tiara was a good choice :D

I can't wait to see LAOD. I am very happy for Anne but I find the "reviewers" comments about Jake annoying. I can't wait to see it for myself because it sounds like Jake has some excellent scenes. An orgy, with Jake....YES. I love the chemistry with him and Anne and I am sure it will be fantastic.

Yesterday I saw "The Last Station." There weren't any Jake links, but there was an obvious Heath one: Christopher Plummer, who played Tolstoy. Plummer had earlier worked with Heath in "Imaginarium." James McAvoy was also in the film. :-)
Jake has an enviable verticality that makes him stand out in any crowd of excitable young women. ;-) Fortunately, Jake likes young women, and they tend to like him, so life is good. Very, very good!

I thought I'd see you here Olympia! Yes a great game and when it went into overtime my heart skipped a few beats. Congrats to Canada! I found myself wondering if Jake was in a bar in Montreal somewhere watching it with a room full of Canadians and what he would think of all that (especially not being a very experienced hockey fan)!

Apparently, President Obama had some sort of wager with the Premier of Canada. Obama had to send the Premier a case of beer over the outcome of the game. ;-) You didn't hear it from me. :-/
it was SO random. i didnt even know he was in the city. haha. well he came up to my friends and i went over to them and we got pics. and then his manager made us sign release forms cause we might be in a magazine. and he walked away when we were signing. and then we followed him and he started taking pics with other people. and i snuck back into the middle. and i got next to him. and the paparazzi was taking pics and his arm was around me the whole time. hahaha. i love him<3 it was amazing.

I smiled last night when I saw the WDW mention - hee hee! Even more people will see THIS is the place to go for all things Jake G!! I give Kelly a lot of credit dealing with a few idiots on line. It seems she has a lot of supporters, though, so that's good. I know first hand all about the questions, questions, questions when something like this happens and there is no way there is an easier way to deal with that than with an official account posted on line - no better way at all. BBM was mentioned by the commentator on the Beeb at the end of the Ice Hockey. In a kind of neutral way, as in good that they mentioned it cos there is no doubt that film is KNOWN. The analogy he was making wasn't great though.
I loved the hockey. Thought it was fantastic. Yay Canada! I may move to Canada for the 2012 games. God we British are going to ruin our own Olympics I bet.
