This was a premiere with a difference - Jerry Bruckheimer was honoured with a hand and foot ceremony in front of the theatre and some big names turned out to see it, including a very casual Tom Cruise plus Nicholas Cage, Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Voigt and an old favourite of mine, Jonathan Pryce. Plus a bunch of others I have to look up.
Call me old-fashioned, but when I see a big premiere in Hollywood, I much prefer to have it all about the leading man and the leading lady - especially when it's these two. Jake and Gemma Arterton looked amazing. Gemma even had a matching brolly. There is chemistry galore between Dastan and Tamina and it's overflowing here, too.

Wow thanks for the early post. I'm looking forward to being at work today and tons of Jake pics coming in from the premiere. Always makes the work day a bit more bearable.
I agree with BBMISwear's comment on yesterdays post. The LA premiere wasn't good at all. I much preferred the London premiere it was so well done in comparison.
WDW: I also agree that the premiere should be about the lead actor and actress in the film. I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise so seeing him front and center over Jake really bothered me.
Loved Jake's suit & tie he's always gorgeous! Gemma's dress was stunning :D

Feel that it took some of the shine away having the whole Tom Cruise/Nic Cage thing going on but understand that was for Jerry, but cant wait for more pics & videos.

I agree with you, Wet Dark. I think it should just be a premiere on POP, but I think JB did it to remind the public that he is a producer of big hits.

Tom Cruise did something similar during the premieres of Batman Begins.
I did not like Gemma's dress. Looks like she was wearing something from Clash of the Titans.
Hi leslie! Agreed - nothing like having Jake about the workplace to cheer it up :D I like Tom Cruise but I would have liked it to have been more about Jake. Gemma's dress was beautiful!

Hi Monica! Posting at the same time :D I'm a big fan of Jerry's, but maybe they should have held these two events separately? I did love Gemma's dress, though - she's so elegant.
Speaking of Jake at work, I just went to the Yahoo homepage like I do every morning and there was link to the interview of Jake pronouncing his last name! It made me smile :D
I too feel like they could have done something separate. Jerry does have another movie out this summer so it would've made sense to hold an event specifically for him.
I listened to Florence and the Machine on my way to work this morning, love the album!

I think it was last night's event that got me into a great mood today... Seeing Jake so happy and lovely Gemma does that, I guess.
Maybe the NY premiere will be more focused on the stars of PoP... Still, it was pretty easy for me to kind of ignore Tom and Nic...

Hi Alejandra! And thanks :D I'm not sure NYC is getting a premiere as such, but there's another PoP screening in LA on 20 May hosted by Jake. Hope we get pics from that. I'm proud too :) That's such a nice thing to say!
