I was interested to read - as a fellow veggie - of a hunt that took place in London on Friday to find Anne the perfect vegan birthday cake. I'm sure Jake would have enjoyed a slice of that as well.

As promised, here are a couple of pictures from last night's PoP Party, which was an enormous success, thanks to Ruby, Mr Ruby, Anouska, Dastan, champagne and a cat. A big thank you hug to Mr Ruby for a spectacular Persian feast. I'm pleased to say that Dastan is now recovering after one of his legs snapping off at the knee. I'm assured that after copious therapy with superglue and tape he will walk again - but his ostrich-racing days may be over.

It looks like Jake and Anne spent a lot of good, private time together during LAOD, not only talking about movie, sex, going to the movies, eating together, but also cycling. That created such a wonderful charisma, they just became close pals, liking each other. And it was easier for them to act all those intimate scenes together.

If she's talking about it openly, at least to him, maybe because it is not such a long relationship and then the feelings are so strong that is a pleasure to talk about it, especially to your friend. They have such a great chemistry, that talking about being in love also set some rules and line between them. Because watching them together is such a warm and pleasurable feeling, they behave just like created for each other. It is obvious they like to be close to each other, it's just nice to look at them. Sigh..
Dastan had nice chemistry with Tamina, But Jake and Gemma were not even close to that what we see here. It was much more distance from Gemma's side.

@Mermon When Jake says Anne is open to love and that he finds it inspiring, I guess it's because her previous relationship turned out to be a dreadful one. It was on the news even, not the gossip sites.
Now true friendship is invaluable. Maybe even more so if you're an actor in Hollywood. So congrats to the two of them for having found a friend in each other.
Happiness comes in all kinds of shapes and colours and flavours. Jake will be alright -and happy. :-)

Unless he has double who is now in the USA, I would doubt this. Although him being in the US could be a rumor as well.
I think because we care so much about Jake we would love to play matchmaker and try to pair him up with someone we think he'll be happy with. I think some of us do that with our own loved ones in RL too. I know I hoped my own brother would have married someone he was seeing but unfortunately it ended after a short time.
It's just that you can see they have a relationship, Jake and Anne. they know each other and got to be very close for this movie. They had to trust each other to get through the intimate moments.
Anne seems to be happy with her current boyfriend and I think Jake will find that 'special' someone but it might take a while before they come along.
It's nice that he and Anne are friends, there is nothing like having a good friend in this life.

Why are you so adamant about it never happening WDW, did you see a certan blonde country and western singer during your press screening? I know you don't like to discuss Jake's personal life but he brings it on himself, why always date such high profile women if you don't want questions about your personal life? Its normal.
@Alejandra, I value friendship very much, sometimes is even more lasting and precious than love. Special in celebrities life, I think it's good to have a real friend. So I'm very happy for Jake he has a friend in Anne.
Just his statement about admiring Annie for being open for love sounded a bit funny for me, because all people long for love and when they find it, they are just very happy about it. But that's true - Anne had bad luck with her last boyfriend and I know from my own destiny, that after painful relationship is difficult to trust again, so maybe that is what he meant - she was brave to trust again and let herself to love.
One more thing - thank to their warm behaviour we had a chance to see how sweet Jake can be in real life relationship, how beautifully he can look in the eyes, touch someone, smile and joke. It was not acting, it was his real private life. Can you imagine how great he is with the woman she loves? I think we had a great opportunity to see a private part of Jake and I like it very much.

Hui, how do you know when a movie isn't or is tracking well ? Please, give me your resource(s) .
I would love Anne Hathaway to hook-up with Jake, but it is just not meant to be. In this situation, you just have a movie couple that magically clicks- and became very good friends .
Keep in mind, Anne is one of those actresses that has great chemistry with practically everyone: Chris Pine, Adrien Grenier, Patrick Wilson, James McAvoy, Mike Vogel, and Jim Sturgess ( recently, I've seen those hot photos of their kissing scenes, this past summer in Paris). What is even more mind-blowing, last t.v. season, Hathaway voiced a character on "The Simpsons" , and she had stupendous chemistry and romantic sparks with Krusty the Clown. Anne has this wonderful ability to connect with people, and Jake shares many of her qualities . So, it is not surprising they developed such a strong connection.
BOM has resourse that LAOD is tracking low double digit in five days. I hope they're wrong :/

It is absolutely preposterous to believe all the rubbish in the papers! This 'story' originated in the Sun and its source was 'anonymous'. I cannot understand how anyone can decide not to be a fan of Jake because of something printed in the tabloids! Ridiculous.
Hi Hui! Yes I was at the press screening and press conference last Thursday :) I loved the film. Much more than a RomCom.
The tabloids are tying hard to make up a story coz they need to sell their paper or whatever.

I will be very happy if Jake & Anne's movie opens in the top two or three. I think Harry Potter will still be quite popular, and there are other children's movies coming out as well.

It's not crazy when you're thisclose to losing your job due to the economy and going to see a movie means you don't eat lunch and dinner for that day. He could wait a few days to see her again in the US. Spending that kind of money for one day in order to see someone he's just started to meet is the thing that's crazy. Who care what he spends his money on, you can't take it with ya. I am more worried about Jake's BO power at the moment.
I do believe it will make the top 5at the opening but Jake needs a hit in America if he wants to keep doing studio movies. But it wouldn't be bad if he went back to smaller fims. But also I keep reminding myself, James Franco and Ryan Gosling are not exactly setting the BO in America on fire and I believe they are in the same acting catergory / range as Jake. But both are less known for their personal life which helps to keep the focus on the acting.

This isn't gossip, this is fact: when men are after a woman, judgement goes out the window because they are not thinking with the right head. Call it a birth defect, that goofy old Y chromosome. As for money, I live on social security disability and have to make choices in my budget as well. I just choose going to see Jake's movies. When someone has a lot of money because they are talented and earn it, I can't begrudge them things that "we" would never dream of doing or having. Maybe if I had made better choices in my life, I would have more, who knows?
I think it would be wonderful if the stars aligned and Jake and Anne would create a relationship, though I cannot personally see Jake having a child out of marriage. As for stranger things have happened, my son went with a wonderful girl in high school. She was a grade older and went off to college, but they parted friends. Then after eleven years and three divorces, they found each other again, and have been happily married for six years. Ya never know!
I admit that I'm one of those who hopes Jake and Anne will develop a close relationship in real life, but here's my full disclosure: no one but Jake knows what is going on in Jake's mind. Whether he never marries at all, or marries someone tomorrow (or something in between), only he can decide.
He might even make a mistake and marry the wrong person! That happens a lot in Hollywood. George Clooney has dated dozens of women, and has yet to settle down. Mickey Rooney has been married eight or nine times.
I would much, much rather just worry about the movies he makes. Going to movies is something I can have some control over. Jake's real-life connections are *completely* beyond my ken.
I saw "Morning Glory" the other day and loved it. Vanessa Aspillaga is in it. She is also in "Love and other drugs."
Morning Glory looks good but didn't do very well at the box office. Jakes movies seems to start out with such great hype then sort of fizzle.
Last week I also saw "For colored girls who have considered suicide." The acting is superb. Almost no Jake links in it, though. I thought that the boyfriends of some of the women characters might have played marines in "Jarhead," but that wasn't the case. However, Kendrick Cross will be in "Nailed" with jake.
