Duncan Jones presents Source Code to the world on the opening night of the SXSW Film Festival on 11 March 2011. Today we had the good news that on 12 March, Duncan will be joined by Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan on the panel 'SXSW Straight From the Source (Code)'. You can read much more about this and the other panels here . Many thanks to Man Made Movies for the heads up.
And it's thanks to MMM, that we can get a closer look at Duncan's appearance in this month's SXSWorld. In it, Duncan talks about the similarities between Moon's Sam Rockwell and Jake: 'They're both very smart guys, and they're also both incredibly funny guys... I know every director says this, but I really think this is Jake's strongest performance. I really think you will see how he fits into the mold of a Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones films - that kind of leading man.'
And finally...
I'm delighted to say that I've been informed by Bleeding Cool that the Blu ray of Love and Other Drugs is region free and it is about to ship...
Thanks to MMM as always!

Ah, Source Code! Bring it on - I'm ready!! Really, isn't it about time for some serious Source Code promotion from Jake? I'm twitching in anticipation...
Susan
Hi Susan! It's most definitely time - and I believe Jake is on Kimmel towards the end of March. Yes! Bring it on :D
I do not like Jimmy Kimmel. Actually, I think that now I hate talk shows. I liked a few years ago, but today they are so annoying, because I do not think most of the jokes funny.
I have no patience.
Thanks for the info.
Hi Monica - that's fine, that's your choice not to watch them but for many of us it's a great way to see Jake on TV.
I read the scans. Aww. Thanks.
I LOVE Jimmy Kimmel. and I look forward to seeing Jake on his show

I can't wait for SC promotion!!!
Thank you so much WDW for always being so informative about, not only Jake and what he's up to, but about the film making process and promotions as well. I've learned more about film making here than anywhere. (I don't know if you intentionally do that or it's just me but I sure have learned lot due to snippets here and there throughout this blog).
I am also ready for Source Code, very much. And I am excited for SXSW panel with Jake, Michelle and Duncan. It's so good to have something to wait for.
And Jimmy Kimmel March 23, I believe. I like his talk show a lot, and I like Jimmy and Jake together, usually they are very funny.
WDW, I agree with Margot, I learned from your blog a lot about movie world. Like, I've never heard before about SXSW festival in Texas.
Have a good day everyone!
Morning everyone! Lovely day out there :)
Hi Monica :)
Morning Sweetpea!
Thanks so much, Margot! That's really nice to hear. Over the years doing this site and following Jake and watching his movies being made has taught me so so much. My main interest in Jake is his moviemaking and I'm so glad that shows. Thanks!
Hi Mermon! Yep, 23 March, I believe, and hopefully more that week. I'm hoping he'll get over to the UK again. Thank you!
Have a good day everyone :)
Hi WDW...
Oh, I'm so totally ready for Source Code... I'm anticipating the reviews that would come after the SXSW fest, hopefully will be good ones. And the publicity for SC must be huge, hopefully it will be like PoP, it would be very delighting if it is, isn't it?
I quite like Jimmy Kimmel, his talk show with Jake during PoP publicity was real fun to watch. I'm looking forward for another show with him.
Well, thank you so much, WDW, for the always up-to-date info around our favourite Jake. I think Jake is so lucky to have you as his fans, cause now I just realize it is quite hard to find someone like you who's so dedicated to the actor or people they love.
So once again thanks a lot for what you've done with this blog!!! :D
Hi Serene! Your comment was caught in the spam for some reason :( But thank you so, so much - what a lovely thing to say - I really appreciate it!
I've learned a lot about how films are made, too. There's a great deal I still don't know, though.
What I will say is that this is the exact time in Jake's career when he ought to be making movie after movie. His skills have evolved to a high point, and he still has great appearance going for him. Maggie said that one day she suddenly realized that she could just give great performances regardless of what those around her were doing in the movie she was filming. She's been doing that ever since. Jake can do that, too. If the possibility of a perfect movie comes along, and the director wants Jake for it, that's fine, but great performances rarely go to waste. In my opinion, at least.
