Yesterday was Mothers Day in parts of the world, including the USA, which meant that Jake Gyllenhaal's mum Naomi was spared having to do the household chores and was instead taken out for a bite to eat by her son in LA. Naomi was doubly honoured - not only is Jake's hair continuing to grow a treat but he also put on a change of clothes. Looking good, Jake!
A slightly alarming indication is that soon Jake's beard will be longer than his hair...
I'm also delighted to say that we have another video interview with Jake. This video capture is crying out for a caption.
Right, I'm off to see Pirates 4! Where's my parrot...?

This interview is sweet for me. Jake seems to be sleepy/tired. Probably from many other interviews that day. The interviewer is over-active a bit. I don't blame her, who wouldn't be? All those together is quite funny, Jake seems to amuse it.
It's adorable, that Jake has spent Mother's day with Naomi. Very nice pictures. Jake looks extremely good for me. That warm smiley, slight beard and a brush of his hair. Very nice.

I hope you enjoy The Pirates. I have to admit, I am not a big fun of that series. But I have a sentiment for Jerry Bruckheimer since POP, of course. I like Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz seems to fit well that movie.
I find it quite amusing that Naomi also acquired another child recently - I had no idea that Maggie and Jake have a brother. (Insert sarcasm where appropriate)

Kate, I'm so glad to know Jake fulfilled his Mother's Day duties and spent time with his mom. But where was little brother Sam? :)
I must say I'm just glad to see hair growing back on Jake's head, and I can accept the longer beard for right now.
That's EXACTLY the way I would behave shall I ever have the possibility of interviewing Jake. Can't blame a girl for trying.

Hello everyone! Good to see you all! Had a great night out last night - (although the journey back left a lot to be desired...) and whaddyaknow they embargoed the screening so I can't talk about it but do go and see it when it's out!
That was quite a mistake in the Guardian - Sam is of course a cousin.
