It's GG DAY! Yes, it's time for Jake Gyllenhaal to de-mothball his tux and untuck his trousers from inside his shoes and take centre stage, at least for a few minutes, to introduce one of the awards at tonight's Golden Globes. Jake isn't a nominee and so it's not certain that he'll walk the red carpet like last year but he will at least stand on stage. The twitter feed for the awards has posted a picture of Jake rehearsing and I think you'll agree he looks amazing. And brainy.
Another picture has been posted of preparations well underway in the magnificent ballroom of the Beverly Hilton. Click and it shall be much embiggened but if you can spot a Jake sign you have better eyes than me and Jake.
The Golden Globes kick off at 7pm Eastern Time, which is midnight over here and so we shall see what the morning brings. I would like to make a plea to all awards organisers that they shift the ceremonies to a Saturday night, thank you very much. For those of us on this side of the pond, it's worth keeping an eye on a few places for a livestream. There are some ideas here. If anyone sees a stream I'd be grateful if they could share it in the comments.

I'm sure anyone who can't see the show live will certainly see all there is to see when they wake up in the morning!
Sigh...so many memories from last year. I don't think watching it tonight will match up to my experiences last year at all but I'll certainly be watching. De-mothball the tux indeed WDW! Yay to that!

I remember last year staying awake until the early hours watching the live stream. Unfortunately can't do that this year as both myself and my husband have been struck down with the flu:(
Does anyone know what award Jake is presenting. One of our TV Stations is showing highlights of the GGs tomorrow night and I will definitely be tuning in to that:) Hope they won't skip over the category he's presenting.

He was just totally drop dead gorgeous... I kept refreshing the live stream and suddenly BAM! there he was... Oh my, he was so wonderful. *swoon*
And now Michelle Williams won! Yay! What a wonderful, humble speech.
Sigh....Jake did look good...but he still does not have a razor in his possession. Jake has been so supportive of Michelle with this film. It was good to see her win also! I don't think he did the red carpet. Watched live on two different channels. Did anyone see him...didn't notice him in the audience also or at Michelle's table. Hoping he gets an offer to present at Oscars!
