New End of Watch stills and Jake Gyllenhaal back on someone else's set

As the release of End of Watch draws ever nearer, we have new stills from the movie. That is most definitely a hairdo I want to polish...

While he waits for If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet to consume every waking hour of the day, almost, Jake Gyllenhaal continues to put his weekends to good use by visiting his mother Naomi Foner on the NYC set of Very Good Girls.

And finally...

Normally, when there are rumours of a new work project for Jake I get very excited. Even if it comes to naught, it's fun to debate what it might indicate about Jake's choices. IMDb is linking Jake to Mobster: A Call for the New Order - intriguingly we are not only given a full cast, we are also given a release date and a running time. This might be the one project that I'll take with an extra big pinch of salt.

Thanks to IHJ for the pics!

Hello everyone! Great new pictures - what a relief it is that Jake has hair these days... Have a good evening!

The hair is definitely a welcome sight! I wonder what his "look" will be in If There Is I Haven't Found it Yet? I hope it coordinates well with the British accent. Regardless, it will be fun!

Thanks for the gorgeous new pics, Kate.

There's the Gyllenhug. Missed him and WDW. It's a shame that he's not here for the Olympics.

Hi! New stills of Jake from End of Watch are very fine. I still hope for some new trailer. We have finally releasing date in Poland, which is November 16th!
I like seeing Jake and Naomi together. Nice hug!
Mobster: A Call for the New Order - Jake in Morocco again? :)

I would LOVE to polish the hairdo, too.

The photo showing Jake-being-a-very-loving-son-to-his-mum is charming.

I love that Jake is hanging out on the Very Good Girls set (and that there are a lot of outdoor shots so we are getting some wonderful pictures)! I bet he is giving great input (in addition to bringing cold drinks and moral support). We'll have to look for some type of acknowledgement in the final credits.

Keep the updates comin' WDW!! :-)

Yeah, carefully examining all the pictures with drinks, Jake and his mother are having BUBBLE TEA each.
And talking about some type acknowledgement in the final credits - I should say he deserves them.
;-))

Thanks so much for the comments everyone! Strange to see some media comments today that Jake and Maggie were visiting Peter on the set of the movie directed by their actress mother...

I am in an Olympics bubble :D

I asked on Twitter one of the actors of "Mobsters...." film when they'll start and if Jake is cast as well, cause he's still rumoured. And I got this answer from him! " more info will come soon! will be starting shooting soon 2 and i think youll e happy:::: " What do you think? Is this a kind of confirmation of Jake participation? :)

Hi mermon!
Jake's got a Twitter account??

ANTJE said...

Oh, sorry, I did not read your message carefully enough, mermon. I thought you'd asked Jake HIMSELF.
So is this reply you got a kind of confirmation of a Jake-participation??
Hmmmm ... ... ...

I don't believe it. It sounds like someone is trying to attract attention for this project, or maybe even to raise some money to make a movie, so they use the names of famous people. It could be true, but I will do like WDW and take the big pinch of salt.

That is very intriguing, Mermon, and I would never rule anything out but the info on IMDb is so thorough and ambitious it does make me wonder. I'll believe it when it happens.

hello everyone! Sorry for being so quiet - this is because Britain has come to a stop due to a certain sporting event. Crazy, wonderful days!

@ANTJE - LOL! I would love to ask Jake myself, it would mean that I have an access to him :)Would be lovely. But knowing Jake's secrecy, he wouldn't say a thing about his next project. We have to be patient. But something is boiling.
Greetings for you,Kate and everybody from lovely Paris!

I wrote a post here, saw it on my own eyes and it's gone! Ghrrr...! First time happened to me. Just wanted to say that no, I don't have a personal contact with Jake! :) I wish! That guy, the actor from Mobster's cast is quite excited about the movie. I have a feeling something is boiling there for Jake!
Stephanie has some article about Jake&Michael chemistry.
I greet you Kate and everyone here from Paris! It's lovely here.

Hi Mermon! Have a lovely time in Paris! What a wonderful place to visit. For some reason Blogger spammed your comment so I rescued it.

Hello everyone! All this Olympicing is wearing me out...

Hi mermon!
It WOULD HAVE surprised me to learn that Jake Gyllenhaal has a Twitter account, because in a lot of magazine interviews over the past few years he has clearly stated that he does not twitter and does not intend to do so either. In a way I like it a lot that Jake is "twitter-less". It is great that he keeps his privacy (as good as he can) and is not one of those notorious celebrities who twitter every f*rt of theirs - whether the world wants to know about it or not. I also quite like that WDW focuses on Jake's public life, his films, his art, his charity groups. No gossip, no loose talking, no rumours about his private life. There are other Jake fansites on the net and they are horrible.

Speaking of Jake and the Olympics, I remember a time [soon after "Brokeback Mountain"] when there was a project involving Jake and Heath Ledger in a movie centered around swimming. Later, Jake was rumored to be cast for a movie about bicycle racing, specifically Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France. Now there are possibilities of a Joe Namath biopic. Jake could have done a lot of movies centered around ahtletes, but instead he seems to be playing soldiers and policemen nowadays. Why is that?

The window of opportunity for sports movies will not stay open forever. Once Jake gets past 35, it will undoubtedly close. :-(

Sorry to get off topic from the post but I just wanted to let everyone know . . .

I downloaded the high def version of Jake's Man vs. Wild episode fro iTunes last night (having previously only purchased the standard definition version) and iTunes now combines the files into one - no longer are they separate. So, I start watching . . again ;) . . . and - they've removed the entire segment where Jake . . . uhmmm . . . stops to make a tinkle. I'm SO mad!! His giggle during that part was one of the highlights of the show!! So if you don't already have the show . . or if you do and want to re-download it . . . be aware that your older version will be overwritten and that part is now gone. :(

BTW, this is for the US version.
