Jake Gyllenhaal catch up as Jake goes undercover as Detective Loki

As we move into February, Jake Gyllenhaal has gone underground. Busy at work on Prisoners in Georgia, probably, he appears to have gone underground. Occasionally a twitter glimmer may sparkle but it's fair to say that there have been more sightings of the Tower of London's headless masked prisoner ghost over recent days than there has been of Jake Gyllenhaal. Obviously, if you spend all your time in Georgia's spin classes or whole food stores then you've almost certainly seen Jake every other day but, for the rest of us, Jake is as one with Detective Loki and has gone undercover.

Glimpses of Jake's co-star, the Tuneful Hugh Jackman, have been slightly more common. Jake has, though, been seen at 'Watershed's Uptown Martini with oysters, steak tartare, jambalaya, lamb ragout, coconut cake, sweet potato creme brûlée and hot milk cake'. I have only one thing to say to that - except for the fact that Jake has clearly not lost his appetite - but sweet potato in creme brulee?? The mind boggles. The one bit of news we do have is that the DVD and blu ray of End of Watch now has a release date in the UK and it's not too far off at all - 18 March. If you fancy it, you can get a pretty posh edition from Amazon. In the absence of news, it falls to my lot to post a couple of videos of Jake from bygone days. The first is from the Berlinale in 2012, almost a year ago now, followed by a little glimpse of an interview with a wee Jake from October Skies days. You will find more from this interview on these pages.

I also wanted to post this wonderful photo of Naomi Foner and Dakota Fanning from Sundance as well as a photo of Peter Sarsgaard with the Lovelace cast, also from Sundance.

Thanks to IHJ and JustJared for the photos.

Hello everyone! I hope you all have a good evening and, if you're in Georgia, that you have your eyes peeled and your Jake detection senses honed and the camera batteries charged.

We have some tweets from the Prisoners' set from extras or people seeing Jake in some eating places, but they don't really say anything. Nothing about the movie. No pictures. Very discrete people living there. It's good for Jake probably, such a change after An Enemy set.He may work in peace.
I watched the clip from Berlinale with a grand pleasure. Jake looked so well then. I remember that, after beard time it came Time To Dance and Jake shaved coming all beautiful to Berlin's airport, welcomed with flowers by Festival's Director. Berlinale won't be the same without Jake. :)

Not so much in GA anymore...a friend of mine in NYC said he came into her restaurant tonight! Not sure what he's doing up there, but apparently he's looking good while doing it.

Nice memories of Berlinale - remember how fun it was that week to watch things unfold? Jake was such a huge part of it!

I do wish we could get more pics from Georgia but understand that it's much better for the actors to do their job without cameras directed at them all day and night - I guess we'll have to be patient.

Lovely pictures from Sundance, Kate - thank you for sharing. And I'm so happy you have a release date for the EoW DVD and it's not too far away at all! (I still can't figure out why they can't release it worldwide as long as the film is no longer in theaters - so strange).

Hope everyone is having a good week! :-)

Hi Mermon! I do agree that it'll be good for Jake to work in peace but a few pictures would be nice ;)

Ooh, thanks 3:26! Excellent news. I'm very pleased for your friend :)

Hey BBMISwear :-) The Berlinale was such a food time. Hard to believe it's almost a year. It is good news about the EoW DVD - I think it will do much better than it did at the theatres.

Source Code is on UK TV this Sunday evening (9pm) and Duncan is doing a live tweetathon - more on that, later on!

Have a good evening everyone :)

Tonight on Channel 4 TV is Source Code (9PM - London time). At the same time is tweeting along with a director Duncan Jones (@ManMadeMoon). He will watch on a DVD and discuss things on Twitter. Add #SCch4 in tweets. I will watch on my DVD. Can't wait for a common watching with Duncan. If only Jake could watch with us and discuss is later!

This is a digression, but I am thrilled they've confirmed that it's Richard! I wish they'd let him go to York.

Hi 14:07! I totally agree - utterly fascinating. I was glued to the press conference this morning and can't wait to see the programme about it this evening. Thanks so much for commenting about this - I share your interest!

Let's hope last year's good vibes from Berlin endure to support Jake's next venture, "Mississippi Grind" ;-)

Great to hear more on Mississippi Grind...it will be fun to see Jake in a role like that (I bet he brings a lot of his charm and comedic style to it)!

I must say I do hate these breaks in news...I'm glad he's busy filming but I want pictures - hee hee! No, not intrusive pain in the butt people bugging the actors while they are working but maybe a little photo here or there from the set that wasn't bothersome and doesn't give any spoilers? (I might be asking for too much here - ha ha)!

Hope everyone is having a good week...here's to more news soon on all 3 projects. Wow...how cool...3 projects in one stage or another all at the same time...whoowhee)!! :-)

Hi everyone! A quick note to say my laptop has packed in so I'm stuck (not to mention having lost loads of important things). Will try and borrow a laptop for a lost tomorrow. Stinks :(
