Everything's Cool - Especially Jake Gyllenhaal

This month a limited edition DVD of Everything's Cool has been released, described by its makers as a ' "toxic comedy" about the most dangerous chasm ever to emerge between scientific understanding and political action - Global Warming'. Comedy is a tool the film makes use of to spread its message. However, a far more effective weapon is Jake Gyllenhaal.

In 2005, fresh from filming Jarhead in the deserts of the South Western United States and Mexico, Jake went to the 'couldn't-be-more-different' environment of the Arctic. He didn't go alone. Fellow actor with a conscience Salma Hayek went too.

Everything's Cool follows the life and death struggle between the "good guys", those who warn about the imminent arrival of the warming, and the "bad guys", the public voices that have lulled the United States - and not just the United States - into thinking that they can turn a blind eye. What will it take to make the United States lead the world in the fight against global warming? Why and how have humans allowed themselves to have had such an impact on nature?

Few themes are bigger - in more ways than one - than the fight against global warming and Jake, as a Gyllenhaal, clearly took much more away from filming blockbuster The Day After Tomorrow than a raised profile.

More of Jake's involvement on Inuit Earth Day, and his part in art on a grand scale, can be seen in a publicity video for the Inuit Earth Day Event, the film and the DVD. Watch the video here and learn more about the whole project. The locals' verdict on Jake? "Dead sexy! Totally worth freezing my ass off." No arguments there.

Thank you so much for bringing this into focus. Many people have casually dismissed this film, yet others have taken it upon themselves to declare that Jake probably looks back on that film as an embarrassment. I disagree! I think Jake definitely knew what he was doing and I don't think he regrets any of his choices.

You nailed it WDW! There's a quantum leap in the value of anything once Jake Gyllenhaal gets associated with it. It has a lot to do with his inner conviction. There is no put on there, no attempt to just impress and get a good name. He's dead serious.

Here is a link to Earth Day where your readers can drop in to read and join in-depth discussions on various environmental concerns.

Once again I'll tell you I just love this post and the direction in which it promises to take the readers. I will link to it pronto.

Incognita. I don't know what to say. Thanks more than I can tell you for taking the time to write such a comment.

I agree that there is no reason for Jake to regret taking on his role as Sam in The Day After Tomorrow. His involvement in the publicity for the film exposed him to organisations and individuals involved in this vital issue, and there is no reason to disbelieve Jake when he says in interviews that this film had an important message. Just because there is froth on the surface, it doesn't mean that there is no substance below.

As his profile increases, Jake must be well aware of the value of his involvement in the issues closest to him. A real, positive side-effect of being in the public eye.

I think Jake is aware of his responsibilities - as an actor (becoming more visible every day it seems) and as a member of a family that is used to expressing its opinions and standing by its beliefs. I also think he does not want to let himself down, hence his causes and his choice of films.

Thank you, Incognita, for the link and your kindness in linking to this post. Thanks for listening.

6 month loans for everyone. They are less time consuming loans for bad credit compared to traditional and regular loans. If a credit for a short time, then to accept a good choice. With these loans, you do not have too many lengthy procedures, such as personal meeting bad credit loans with lender or financial advisor, arranging documents and provides collateral or guarantor credit review process and followed by many others.

So that you can avoid repayment of the loan on time fines and debts in the coming days. One of the advantages of the loan is the easy recovery. The salaried people usually have a paycheck that will not last long. So, there is no need for you to pay off the loan immediately. The lender you can repay on the number of terms that you make to extend to 12 months.
