Jake Gyllenhaal's special smile
Today IHJ made available a full and amazing set of photos that document the entire Zodiac Cannes adventure todate. But I was thrilled to see one picture in particular and so fair warning that this is a purely gratuitous posting! In this picture, I can relive the moment when Jake smiled directly at myself and my friends at the premiere last Thursday night. He'd asked us to yell his name louder, we obliged and this was our fabulous reward.

I love seeing Jake and David like this. It bodes well for a future collaboration. Ok, maybe a future for Jake to do what David tells him to do again. Well, we all know how well that turned out. Jake doesn't seem against going another round with David. I read that David has serveral projects he would like to do. My fingers are crossed that he will do a remake of The Reincarnation of Peter Proud. I think Jake would be excellent in the title role.
I loved these pics with Jake and David too, looks like Cannes was a wonderful experience for everyone. I hope Jake and David Fincher do have the opportunity to work together again as well. Sometimes the most challenging experiences are the most rewarding because they allow you to stretch your wings, and develop and grow in your career. The results were certainly worth it! :)

I never thought to see Jake and David as close as this. I believe Jake now realises that he gained far more from the Zodiac shoot than he suffered. Clearly, they are both left wth friendship and admiration for one another and I find these scenes touching. Jake is the kind of guy that men and women both feel comfortable reaching out to - he just oozes friendship and comfort - that's an incredible gift. I've seen how charismatic Jake is in person - he shines - but it's also good to know how his friends are drawn to him in Jake's everyday life too.
They all obviously had a marvellous time in Cannes and with each other.
