One 'source' told a reporter, 'Mischa hopes to work with Jake one day.' Well, maybe she's not only an extremely lucky Londoner (yes, that was a surprise to me too), she may be a seer because there's a rumour that Mischa is to play the woman in the middle of Brothers Jake and Tobey Maguire.
According to a poster on IMDB (and no doubt we all have our own assessment of the accuracy of IMDB reports), 'she was at the toronto film festival and she was talking about her new movie closing the ring and than she said her next movies were a movie called finding tatu where she plays a lesbian and another movie with bruce willis ( cant remember the name) and than she said she looking foward to be filming the new movie brothers with tobey and jake this november. She said she will be playing a mother and a wife. Her husband goes to war. She thinks her husband is dead and she falls in love with his brother. or something like that.'
Whenever I post a photograph of an actress, I pick a picture of the wrong actress (with the notable exception of Maggie). I trust that I am correct here with these pictures of Mischa in London from Just Jared. I'm detecting a London theme tonight...
Rome Film Festival
Another day, another festival. This time it's Rome, which was set up last year to rival Venice. Rendition will be an attraction at the festival next month.

Gawd! I hate being first. (looks around...dashes out...then slooooowly sidles back in...). OK. This is one rumor I sincerely hope is false. And as Forrest Gump said: "That's all I have to say about that..." (I have my fingers, toes and eyes crossed!) WDW! I remember the "Mischa incident" at the '06 BAFTAs LOL! Wasn't she giggling to someone about having enough nerve to go over and ask him for his phone number? And so finally she went up and asked him. And she suggested they get together? Like "Lunch " ...or something? I remember, bcz she was very agressive. I thought he very politely blew her off, except she didn't realize it? I know for sure this was when she was still "dating" Cisco Adler. Or maybe it was still Brandon Davis. I remember, bcz, I was sort of appalled. She was definitely part of the Paris Hilton Set at the time. She hasn't done much since the O.C. And she's very young.

I have to say - I bet Jake ran a mile - but in an extremely polite manner! I can honestly say that, apart from the 'Bafta incident' I know nothing about her.

"brothers" ia a wonderful story. Connie Nielson was radiant as the wife/mother - I think this might be the most difficult role to cast! and perhaps the most crucial. (hoping this is all going to happen. . . ) in the meantime. . .

Well. I was an early fan of the O.C. It was a perfect case of life imitating art. When I read about the 'BAFTA incident' I was aware of her 'lifestyle' so I got all "Momma Bear." At the thought of Poor Jake falling into the clutches of the Paris Hilton set, I became physically ill! LOL! Of course, now, I find my reaction laughable, on Jake's end. I mean. He SO wouldn't go there !!! But as I think of Brothers, and remember Connie Nielsen's outstanding performance, I realize how, very often, someone's reach can exceed their grasp.

Sadly, the only acting I've ever seen Mischa Barton do was as a 12 year old 'actress' in one of my favorite movies, Notting Hill.

I agree with you all that anyone who can act not being seduced by Jake should be up for an Oscar in my book. Maybe they have to try desensitisation therapy ;) Hmmm
