Jake gets down to work with Jim Sheridan

No sooner is one film launched at the film festivals and projected in the cinemas than another one gets going. This photo, taken on 23 October in Los Angeles, shows Jake with Jim Sheridan, no doubt making preparations for their imminent project together. Sheridan is the director of Brothers.

Picture from, as if you couldn't guess, X17.

Jake must be going to start filming Brothers in just a couple of weeks, since were almost in November.

Yet, I don't know how reliable this is since its from IMDb, but on the Brothers page a poster said that shooting already started at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexcio, and their there for 18 weeks. It was sounding more like shooting would be in Boston right? Unless I missed some news regarding confirmation as to where the actual shooting is taking place for Brothers.

Hi again WDW:)
I love that Jake is hard at work. He is proud of Rendition, and as an an American, I'm proud of him and this movie.
He had to know what the consequences might be when he took it on...just what happened... low turnout. Just as he had to know what would happen when he decided to do BBM. He told one UK interviewer, he experienced a level of homophobia, previously unknown to him prior to BBM.

I have acquaintances who will not see any movie critical of present American policies; Rendition included. They don't want to know what our government is doing since 9/11 to protect us, just that they do whatever it takes, to keep us safe.
Life here is complex and disturbing, more than I've ever experienced in my lifetime, and it's not getting any easier.

Morning Jantoinette - it's good to know Jake's about to get filming again. That's interesting about the New Mexico infomation as this was one of the initial filming candidates along with Boston. The Boston papers got behind the idea of a Boston filmset but it may well have been just wishful thinking.

Hi Sass! I love that Jake's hard at work too. Jake does seem to take on projects with these 'consequences' you refer too. One wonders what Brothers will have in store although as it's about the ramifications of the war in Afghanistan...

I suppose that movies about US policies are an acquired taste fro many, especially outside the US. Also there is an element of preaching to the choir. But the ignorance is bliss attitude is something that needs to be targeted, by films, politicians, teachers, just everyone. And it's not just in the US.
