Jake out for a Japanese dinner with Orlando
Just moments after finding the new pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal out and about in Hollywood, here he is again, but this time he's out for dinner with Orlando Bloom. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of Jake and Orlando together at the Japanese restaurant (Ita Cho on Beverly Boulevard) but the video shows they were dining together. And Jake's specified driver from the last few outings is on hand again to drive him home safely.

I must say, I am not convinced that they were "there together." Certainly they were there at the same time, but that doesn't mean Jake was there to dine with Orlando's group. It does look like Jake was speaking in Orlando's general direction, and he probably was, but unless I missed something, the only time they were within 10 feet of each other was when Jake stood near that window, probably to comment on the damn parasites outside. At no point did I see them sitting/dining together. So, I'm not ready to cook up any collaborative scenarios based on this vid. Not saying that wasn't the case, you understand, as it's entirely possible. Just looks like they may have bumped into each other instead.
More interesting to me, and disconcerting, is that once again Jake felt compelled to speak to one of the sleazebags to get him to back off the car. :( I know, he's a big boy and can take care of himself, but it still bothers me. Enough that I think I'm going to stop watching these vids when they pop up.
Cherita, there was an additional 5 minutes of talk about the magazine and more Ellen and Jake flirting before the who baby discussion. They talked a lot more about the magazine "Interview" and what he was thinking while doing each photo. The part that got edited was very much them joking and laughing about their relationship as well, Jake was giggles the entire time. I'm surprised they edited it in the first place but it was sort of redundant because it was similar to their talk about how Jake loves her and the who "though not speak-est of thy truest love" skit. Very cute, I'm sure it will show up somewhere and most likely air again. I'll keep an eye out for it.
So glad Jake is smart enough to have a driver when he's out and about. He's such a target right now.
He also gave an interesting discription of that bike he was holding and when they asked him to take a picture with him and a bike since he's a cyclist. He hadn't realized it was an old antique thing and he said he tried to get on it with clearly didn't work, so he just carried it instead.
that sounds so funny CWG - that picture, one of my favorites, will never be the same, Im afraid!

The video with Jake talking about Good Girl was - omg, Jake so young!
A couple of his goofy facial responses were delightful. I hope he never goes totally serious on us. Does he sometimes wear eye liner?

Morning Cherita! We've seen pictures of Jake and Orlando together before so I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary by them either being in a restaurant together or bumping into each other. I would be sure they had a chat whatever (I'm a bit of an Orlando fan ;)).
Hi CWG - thanks so much for telling us more about Ellen - I wish they hadn't cut that bit out as I love the Interview shoot (what's not to love...) and would have liked to hear more about what Jake was thinking with the camera on him. Very funny about the bike pic. I certainly don't like the idea of Jake riding a bike with a saddle like that!
Hi Positively Pia - Jake's expressions were just captivating in that Moonlight Mile/Good Girl video. I really don't like those brown clothes though, but Jake shines whatever they put him in.

Yes paps can be annoying but it's clear by now that Jake can avoid them as long as he pays attention to that...and he doesn't seem preoccupied, it seems that he can handle the whole thing with his usual ironic poise...
RL has kept me away from most things Gyllen lately -- did I miss something? An extended version of Jake on Ellen? Where is that? Am I imagining it? I LOVE Jake with Ellen.
Another part of the Ellen show was him saying he was thinking about Ellen in the photo of him chopping wood (joke). Ellen then mimicked Jake chopping wood as she said her name ;) There were no edited versions of the cooking scene, that was shown entirely. Sorry this is all in blocks, I,m having a hard time remembering all the new stuff because I think I was in shock and by the time I realized it was new material, it was all over.

I'm not entirely sure they were there together either (it's hard to tell by the video and I don't particularly trust x17) but it's a nice thought! I didn't see this coming at all. =P Is this what the ACLU meant by 'dine with Jake'? I'd shell out $5,000 for a dinner with Jake AND Orli. (hahaha) Ok .. maybe not. Or would I? ^_^

Thank you, cwg! Oh, man, I feel so cheated. I want to see the full version! I hope they rerun it again so I can save it in DVD-worthy quality from my DVR. Damn them for cutting it the first time!
Just to clarify on the videos, I love to see Jake in motion, too. But what I love or want and what's better for his safety and privacy may not coincide. Watching the videos adds hits to the sites that hire these paps, supporting them and further encouraging them to continue intruding as much as possible. It's also often disturbing just to see how hounded he and his companions are at times. Best (for me) to stop being involved at all.

Thank you CWG for the heads-ups on Ellen! I missed the show but immediately phoned my sister who lives halfway across the country, and she recorded it later. So I'm anxiously awaiting a tape of new Jake parts. :D
Wish I could come up with something more original, but Jake's MM video is just delightful!!! He's wise and smart and funny, and he gave me the giggles at then end!
I remember reading sometime ago that Jake and Orlando are buddies and hung out in the same circles sometimes. At the time, Orli was dating Penelope Cruz, etc. Whatev, but WDW, how cool would it be to happen to walk into a restaurant and find them both there visiting!
Unless this particular restaurant is on the Papparazzi "route" it isn't unusual for someone who works there to tip them off. The paps try to have "contacts" at all the hot spots where they might get their $$ shots.What a way to earn a living! Jake seems calm and in good spirits. After Orlando's terrible experience with them, I can understand why he would be leery of venturing outside. I'm a huge Orlando fan too.

CWG, thanks so much for giving us insight into the extended Ellen show...I wonder why they just couldn't have an hour of Jake and Ellen? It would be hilarious. I hope we get to see that soon...would love to see Ellen pretending to chop wood a la Interview-Jake. lol
Cherita, I feel the same way as you about the pap vids. I haven't watched this and don't feel compelled to although I am always conflicted about these things - I always want to see more of Jake, but whilst we know Jake is always extremely gracious around these scumbags, it always makes me feel uncomfortable. I know I should feel the same about pap pics, too, but I seem to feel easier looking at them than I do about vids. I'm just a conflicted girl.
Hey Christie! I feel exctly the same as you, I feel uncomfortable watching the pap videos and usually don't bother, but I do look at the pics that come from the videos so I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite:( Otoh, sometimes watching the videos makes me feel better about the pics, like the recent one when he was leaving the basketball(or baseball or whatever it was!) game, which I only watched cos someone mentioned Gyllensmiles, and he looked a lot happier in the video than in the pics so...*confused* I think it's up to each of us as individuals to decide what we feel comfortable with. Whatever we do, the paps are still going to take pics and videos and Jake knows it's part of the job description, just like we all have to deal with annoying side effects of work and other stuff in our lives. As with a lot of things in Jake's life and work, there are no easy answers;)
Hi TL, and your comment made so much sense to me, plus you expressed yourself far better than me! I was stuck for a word to describe how I felt, and I think hypocrite probably sums me up! I moan about the paps, and then go and look at the pics anyway. I admire Jake so much, but he goes up in my estimation everytime he doesn't hit one of those paps!
I'm dying to watch the GG vid, I can only imagine how lovely he looks. *sigh*
I don't want to sound insensitive and I don't want Jake to be harassed in any form, but the thuth is I honestly think he isn't in any serious danger, at least in this last vid. And he seems really relaxed and smiling...
But yes, it's something that relates to personal feelings and choices...:)

Aww .. you weren't the only one WDW! I came online yesterday afternoon to multiple PM's and e-mails from friends mentioning the x17 set. People even commented on both IHJ & OL (forums) about how excited I would be when I saw the pics. hahaha Apparently a lot of people thought of me when they saw them! *blush*

Hey Christie - I'd love to see Jake and Ellen mimicking the chopping too. I think the conflict you talk of is something that most fans will feel. I'm afraid that if it's out there I'll look at it, not always liking it but I need to look. So yes, I aree with you Twisted Logic - it's up to all of us to make a choice and respect the choices of out fellow Gyllenhaalics. It's not easy.
