Meet the Prince of Persia! Jake Gyllenhaal in action

Here we have the first glimpse of Jake Gyllenhaal getting down to business with his preparation for the Prince of Persia and, with some apparent wobbliness, becoming reacquainted with the horse! The chest hair still survives and, as we can see, there's plenty of hair elsewhere as well and I reckon it'll get longer yet. More pictures here and more to follow at WDW later on. Great to see you, Jake!

Coming along nicely, just as I hoped it would! Love the hair length, beard, muscles, horseback -everything! Very hot. It really suits him - it's so nice to take a trip back centuries with him. Now I really am excited about seeiing PoP. :)

Thanks so much for letting me know about these pics, WDW! Hope your ears aren't still ringing from my squeeing:D Loving the toned bod -the biceps in that last pic are to die for! I'm also mightily relieved to see that the chest hair remains intact(for now at least!) and hopefully the beard will go before filming starts:D Wish there were pics without the helmet though, I think he's going to look gorgeous with long hair:D

Hmmmm. Upon closer inspection, I don't think those are hair extensions. It looks like his own hair, just grown out and flyaway. Nice to see Jake back on a horse. What fun it will be to see him in action-hero mode. Woot!

Seems that Jake is attached to David Fincher's new movie "Torso":

I dunno WDW...the boy is looking a little chunky...but I love the longish hair...hate the facial hair...and could he look more ungainly than in that last photo. This movie looks like it is going to be lots of fun...if the pics are any indication. Thanks, as always, my dear for giving us the latest and greatest on our beautiful boy...now if we could only see that gorgeous face...LOL!!

Hi everybody!

OMG! I am getting more and more excited about PoP! Love the pics - although he looks a bit strange with that helmet, the aviators and the hair sticking out underneath... :D :D, but some of the pics are really great! And he seems to have soooo much fun!!!

Actually I don't think that this is all his own hair... I can't imagine that it could have grown that fast...
But seeing the pics without the helmet I am actually not worried about him with longer hair anymore!

I am really really looking forward to this movie!!! Yay!!!!

Just to think, there I was, singin' along with Ol Blue Eyes:

I'll never smile again
Until I smile at you
I'll never laugh again
What good would it do. . .

Hay, Mom! - Im smiling!

Hey Uli! Art is long and so is hair, which grows at a pretty fast pace, esp. when young, which I am no longer, but I still have to get a clip more often than I have time and $$$ to do.

Jake's hair was longish for Nailed, to begin with.

Yum yum.

Have to admit, I was more inclined to bust a gut laughing than "phwoooaaar"-ing when I first came across this collection of photos.

However, looking more closely at the ones you've selected here,WDW,there's certainly some tasty muscular definition going on (enought to take my mind off the hair) and his stance on the horse in the third photo has so much more of the Jack Twist about it than the more awkward ones that my stomach flipped!

I'm so happy for TL that the chest hair is still there and I couldn't agree with her more, the beard has got to go! ;-D

So I take it the general consensus is that we all like the Prince Jake pics?:D

(((Nadine))) I do know what you mean, I did have a bit of a giggle when I first saw the pics,as WDW can testify, but the phwoar factor is undeniable :D I am SO looking forward to this film:D

Forgot to say, hope you had a great evening, WDW and Ruby, swooning over the pics while knocking back wine :)

and there is a pic on IheartJake of J with long hair unbound - which Im sure you will purloin for us in short order, WDW. . . kinda fuzzy - the picture, not the hair -which is of course silky as a jockey's kit. . . :D :D

I've just seen that photo Pia,and I must admit that with the hat off the hair's a lot less scary than I thought! It could grow on me...almost as fast as it's growing on Jake!

Oh and I'm sure you won't mind,WDW,if I return the hugs here to ((((TL)))), who was typically supportive when I was having a bit of a meltdown earlier today. Mwwwwaaaaaah hon! Whatever, whenever,WDWers stick together! :-D

TL, I think you can say that we like the pics. He looks like he's having lots of fun. xxx. and even I can deal with the longer hair. :D.

Hello there my friends! Back from a wonderful night out with Ruby, much of which was spent ogling new pics of our Prince :D Totally lost my heart so expect no sense from me for a while, I'm in love!

I've just put up a post with more pics from IHJ, including a couple without the hat. This looks to me like Jake's own hair which is growing rapidly and still a few weeks to go. Can't be easy though riding around and grasping a sword - Jake looks like the man for the job!

I've put up a video too if Jake riding round the ring with Gemma.

More than anything I love to see Jake having this much fun!! Just think how much fun we'll have seeing this film!

Thanks to everyone for commenting :)

Hello, wet dark.

The vision was better than expected. He was afraid of long hair, but now I see that it was great!

It's so nice to see the Jake. Better yet is to see that it was fun. He loves his work. And that's wonderful.

Anon: 19:22, I hope that Jake act in that movie with David Fincher. The work him in Zodiac was incredible.
Thank you for information.

Hi Anon, the Torso story is quite old now (there have been a couple of posts on here about it) and I don't know if Jake is still associated, possibly not. Now and again, this keeps popping up.
