Peter Sarsgaard is Trigorin and a new Prince of Persia

A short post this evening, because WDW has been stricken with a bug, and for that I attribute the condition widely known and dreaded as Lackofjakitis as a significant contributing factor. However, Jake Gyllenhaal may have gone AWOL, but we can pin down Peter Sarsgaard. With the Seagull opening soon on Broadway, publicity pictures have been released of Peter as Trigorin, alongside the lovely Kristin Scott Thomas and An Education's Carey Mulligan.

Meanwhile, another lucky holidaymaker has posted further pictures of the Prince of Persia set at the simply stunning Ait Benhaddou. The more I see of these photographs, the more I want to revisit Morocco, after a lot of years - I do love these colours and shades.

And while we're thinking about the Prince, here is a rather enigmatic, animated trailer for the new game, which is to be released on 5 December - 'A new Prince of Persia'.

No post can be complete without a picture of Jake, and so here is a new old picture of Jake from IHJ (thanks!), which I appreciate as further evidence of Jake's bendy qualities (either that, or Jake's very hungry). Normal service will resume tomorrow...

Pictures from IHJ and links.

Chekov's plays are the classics. The real test to someone's acting abilities. You go Sarsgaard!:)

I will be sure to let you know, WDW - hope you feel better soon. Yes, the sets are incredibly beautiful, with each development, and I know PoP is going to be great. Thanks! :)

Hey Zodiac! Have you broken Blogger again?? Thanks for that link. I'll go and see that. I love Peter and he hugged me.... :D Sentimental moment there...

I have to admit, when I was at London University all those years ago, I was able to see a few Chekov plays with some great actors in them, such as Michael Gambon and Maggie Smith etc, but I really didn't enjoy them. But I do wish I could see Peter in this.

Thanks, Anon :) That would be so good to hear. And PoP will look beautiful, even aside from Jake :D I think soup and Swoff will make me feel better.

God, I'm thinking in chunks here today.

WDW,I wanted to ask you about your encounter with Peter. I've heard about it but I missed your comment.I think I was away. Maybe a link?

... and mine's an Aqua Velva. Get well soon WDW. Peter on Broadway sounds like a treat. I'm planning my New York trip for 2010 - hopefully someone will have a decent play written especially with Jake's talents in mind.

Read an article with Kirstin Scott Thomas on the Sunday Times last weekend in which she mentions the Seagull. I'd love to catch Peter on Broadway.

Those PoP pictures look beautiful. I love the blue sky.

Have a great evening everyone :)

Hope you feel better soon WDW

Thanks, WDW:) Lucky you to have bumped into Peter.

I don't know how to make cocktails *scratching her head* How do you make Aqua Velva?

I do think Jake is in London. Changed my mind;)

Hi Sheba :D Thanks. It would be so good to see Jake in a play again - on Broadway or in the West End again. I tried an Aqua Velva and I have to say it was yucky and quickly replaced by a cosmo, but it was good to try it!

Thanks Carol :D The sky looks so beautiful in those pictures. I'd like to see Peter on stage too. I saw that article in the the Times. It's good to see the pkay getting this exposure.

Zodiac! You didn't see my Aqua Velva post??!! This is bad! Here is the link for that one :D

I think Jake's in London. It's just not a very pappy place. But he must show himself to stop me being a quivering wreck!

Oh, no, WDW, please say it isn't so? Not the Lackofjakitis! I send hugs and wish you and all, a less feverish drought. However, we may see our Jake strolling around London!!Yeah!:)

Yes, the set appears to be amazing.
Unlike we've ever seen before, Isn't that what director Newell had said? WDW, the scaffolding on the hills may be placing greenery, like grass, to show kind of an oasis, (what do you think?) in a sense, for filming. I think I see a transformation of sorts. And I think POP will be beautiful, also:)

So great for your "sentimental moment" with Peter, I remember your pic together:) You should tell and show us again!:) I really liked that.

Yes, Zodiac is on cocktail duty! Here, here:DD I'll also request a Cosmo, Grey Goose style!!:) Or I'll will settle for my Bacardi & DC with a lime.:)) Who's in?? We need to stop WDW from a "quivering mess" STAT!

Thanks WDW, for "fixing" our's and your's Jaking needs!! You really do come thru:))

Everyone have nice Jake dreams tonight!! I know I will;))

Morning everyone :D

Thanks for the hugs, Viv :D I am intrigued by that scaffolding on the hill. It could be a camp for a beseiging force? Thanks for the cocktail order, I could do with a whole line of them to get me through this Lackofjakitis. I had a Jake dream last night - that I was watching the Tour de France with him :D

Have a good day everyone!

Morning WDW and everyone!

I can remember well that photo with you and Peter in it,WDW, and that was great, but I want to see you in a pic with Jake, ASAP!:)

I'm having confusing dreams about Jake too, a premonition? :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Morning Xenia! I want to see me in a picture with Jake ASAP too! Please arrange it.... :D You're having Jake dreams too? I think we're all going down with something! Have a lovely day!

Were you there in person or watching it on TV while having breakfast in bed?

Peter's doing Broadway? Good for him! That's great! He's the first one (Maggie, Jake, himself) who's done Broadway (so far). Jake did the London stage. It's Maggie's turn next.

I ask you, is this, or is this not, the:

Sexiest Man Alive

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Chuckle Important Question :DD That's privileged information known only to Jake and myself ;D

Hi there Break a Leg :D I may be completely wrong, but I do think Maggie has done a play, some years ago in NYC. Hmmm. Definitely time for another. Peter is such an incredible actor, I can imagine him commanding a stage.

Hi Anon! That links doesn't work unfortunately, but Yes he is!

Oh, sorry! It was a pic of Jake on the cover of the magazine 24x Segundo, during BBM time. Pic #1, from IHJ. Very very sexy, at least IMHO! :)

That is a lovely pic, Anon :D

Morning everyone.

I think I've come down with a bad case of Lackofjakitis aswell. Not thinking straight at all today:)

Just saw pictures of Reese returning to LAX from London. She had a huge smile on her face. Wonder why.....

Hopefully he'll come out of hiding soon.

Thank you WDW for the new pics and for always finding time and energy to post for us ;)
It always amazes me how much work there is for the making of a movie-set, which is something I hardly realize while watching one; same thing happened while I was watching the Rendition's dvd extras, like for instance the bomb scene and how much studying there's behind it (and I love the passion Gavin Hood puts into his work).

Jake's pic is so cute, he must have been a wonderful, hilarious school mate :D (he'd make a wonderful hilarious, husband too btw...*sigh*)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks Good Girl! I do agree - before following Jake, I knew so little about the film making process but through 'watching' these films develop I'm now fascinated by it and it makes the films extra special when they come out. It is a cute pic :D

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Ooh Good Girl - you have a new pic! Looking good!

*good girl* said...

Thanks :D Glad you like it WDW :D I know the movie is about a very serious subject...but Jake looks sooo good in it :P and even though the Jake-Meryl phonecall was probably not meant to be a sexy scene..!... Jake made it sexy anyway imo :P Just love the way he holds the cell-phone and that hand on his chest ...and as Xenia and I were fantasizing, what if that phone had slowly landed on those heavenly lips too..... ermmm sorry...losing control here :P

I loved him in Rendition, a good movie, and I'd never seen him sexier - looking forward to seeing him in PoP. I might be cryin' if I had to leave that sexy hunk of funny, smart, talented beautiful man behind in London. :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey Good Girl! I think that whole scene was so sexy too and I loved the lighting. Sigh ... :D

Hi Anon! Jake was so sexy in Rendition, very definitely. I fear PoP may be too much for me :) If Jake needs some company in London...!
