Brothers - which is now, for the first time, higher up the ProIMDb scale than Prince of Persia - has the full power of a stunning website behind it. This site has evolved through the weeks and days until now. The transition video clips now include some significant Jake and Natalie smooching and Lionsgate is to be commended and encouraged. Brothers is also heading for the sixth Dubai International Film Festival in December, although there is no suggestion that a gala will take place.
Hank Azaria may now have finished his part in Love and Other Drugs but filming continues to cause mayhem and fascination in the streets of Pittsburgh - not to mention the city's Whole Foods store. Over the last day or two, filming has been causing some delays 'on the Mon/Fayette Expressway'. The basecamp for filming is the local Ringgold High School and the actors have been hanging out in tents around the school's football field, creating quite a stir among local tweeters. On Thursday, filming will move to (and close) the Gypsy Cafe.
Tomorrow, People announces the winners of their 2009 Sexiest Man Alive Poll and 'doe-eyed' Jake Gyllenhaal is among those up for consideration with, rather unusually for polls, a gorgeous picture from this year, rather than an overused photo from another time in Jake's career. Obviously, unless the world ends today as foreseen by Mayans, Robert Pattinson will win but, if we're talking sexy, take note Twilightians...
This reminds me that LoveFilm has a poll of its own underway and the votes number in the tens of thousands. Its goal is to identify the defining films of the decade - Brokeback Mountain, Zodiac and Donnie Darko are amongst the choices. Make sure to vote because, although I liked it, why Moulin Rouge is winning I cannot fathom.

All right, not a bad choice of picture by People Magazine but for God's sake, Robert Pattinson the sexiest man alive? I just don't get it. He may be the most popular man alive at this moment because of the new Twilight movie but the sexiest man alive on this whole entire planet? Who votes for this thing? And he's sure as hell not sexier than our Jacob! Didn't People Magazine see yesterday's pic of Jake and his glasses?
I learned today that BBM will be shown in a theatre in Montréal on December 9, just 2 hours from where I live. It's killing me! I want to go so bad, it's been so long since I've seen BBM on a big screen. But I'd have to take the afternoon off to make it there in time and I really don't know what I could tell my boss. "Hey boss, I need an afternoon off to go to Montréal to see this movie that I've already seen 10 times in the theatre and that I have 3 different DVD versions of, which I've watched about 15 times." Don't think he'd go for it. :/

I sympathise about the dilemma. BBM appears so seldom on a big screen but that's quite a trek. Maybe you could settle at home tomorrow evening and watch it in the comfort of your own home and really soak in it?
Well, I can't tomorrow but I'll have to find some time soon, it's been a while since I've watched it. Maybe it's a good thing I can't go because I'm usually in no state to be in public after a viewing. Puffy red eyes and nose and runny mascara is not very becoming. :D And I don't know if they'd let me in with my box of tissues and the little bottle of whisky I need to have a drink with the boys around the campfire. :)

Olympia! Someone just mentioned the Montreal BBM screening to me today and I actually considered it for a few seconds. If there is ever a chance I can go to that I am hunting you down, calling your boss myself and making you go! Imagine how many hours we could talk non-stop?! It's scary to even think about...LOL!!
Bring on Brothers! (The news just keeps pouring in doesn't it)?! That "red carpet" tweet is interesting...it seems too early to be the "real" premiere but it matches up with the report we heard about a week ago re: Jim S. going to Ireland (which he did) and then coming back and a "special screening" on Sunday 11/22. Maybe they will all be there for this? And something else matches up...the Moviefone interview is happening on Saturday 11/21...all of them together in one room. Moviefone has studios in LA and...you guessed it...New York! Hmmmmmm.
I said it a year ago and I'll say it again - my prediction for People's Most Sexiest Man Alive 2010 is going to be Jake Gyllenhaal. (Not that I wouldn't mind him winning for 2009 but I'm thinking more 2010). I hate having to wait a whole year for that.

I'm about 7-8 hours away from Montreal, but I would love to see BBM on the big screen again. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen it - but the dozy embrace always makes me cry, every time, and I have never been able to watch the Jack getting hurt scene, even the first time.
Robert Pattinson, although attractive and with lots of potential, is a bit too young to be the Sexiest Man Alive, isn't he? That's OK, Jake's got plenty of time. The InStyle pic is proof enough. :)
Well come on over WDW, the more the merrier I'm sure BBMIswear will agree! And hey, that would be a much better reason to give to my boss for taking an afternoon off. "I have a friend coming to visit from England" sounds like the perfect excuse!

Anon 22:44 (BBMIswear, is that you?), I'm with you about the Jack getting hurt scene, it's unbearable I just can't watch it. The only time I saw it was my first time in the theatre. I really didn't expect it and was absolutely horrified. If by anychance I've not started crying yet, when it gets to that scene that always does it.

Just saw R Pattinson on Film 2009. I don't see the attraction to him at all but I'm not the target audience either:) I get the impression the teenage fans are into the character of Edward and not Rob himself. He is way too young to be sexiest man alive. It doesn't matter though cause in twelve months time we all know who's going to get the title..... At least People used a decent pic of Jake this year.
The updated Brothers website is really good and all the talk of premieres is great. I'm looking forward to seeing it when I'm on hols in a few weeks. My friend is convinced I timed the trip to coincide with a movie opening:)

Well I'm a 4-5 hour drive to Montreal but I never drive anywhere further than 3 hours (and that's pushing it - I hate long car rides) so I would opt for the quick 1 hour flight! I wish I could say that this date was great for me but it really isn't...but I never rule anything out completely until I have to so if something changes and I decide to go you'll be the first to know! Well, the second to know as Ted, my partner in crime, will have to be the first to know since I'll be crashing at his house!
I read some more tweets from the person who tweeted about going back to NYC on Saturday for the Brothers premiere and he/she seems to be one of Bailee's PR people. That premiere sounds like it could be THE New York one. They also mentioned Bailee doing TV Guide today in LA - hopefully we'll see another interview with her.

Hi there 7:12 - that's interesting and could well be right. I don't know what to think. It seems early for a premiere and there's not exactly been much publicity about the the event. So it could be one of these red carpet gala screenings like you mention. It's such a puzzle trying to piece all this together. It certainly keeps us busy.
