Love and Other Drugs poster - First look!
Want something to perk you up this morning? How about our first look at the poster to Love and Other Drugs! Many many thanks to Melsbells for sending along her photo to us of what is undoubtedly the best poster ever - in the history of cinemas and posters - not to mention one of the best pictures I've seen of Jake Gyllenhaal in a bed. Great bed linen by the way. Not so sure about the lamp.

Forgive my not so deep knowledge in the language of gestures in the USA, but I could imagine that Jake with his hand wants to be seemed to say "Mum is the word!" i.e. "Don't tell others about this poster!" well knowing that the effect will be the opposite. Or is that to far out?

Hi Silver! Yep, unfortunately a rerun - they seem to repeat chat shows all the time in the US which seems strange to me as what they're plugging is then out of date. The telethon is on 10 September and if Jake's making a live appearance on that he may shave for it???

That is one amazing poster, I can't stop looking at it! I hope I'm alone when I see this poster at the theater for the first time, because I have a feeling I'm gonna make a complete fool of myself. I'm feeling giddy just seeing a picture of it, what will happen when I see the real thing!?
I love Anne and she looks beautiful in that pic but I would give my right arm to have a full size poster with just Jake on it. That chest, those arms, those long legs, words fail me....

I just read on GyllenBabble that it was given an R rating for "strong sexual content, nudity, pervasive language, and some drug material." Oh my!

I love it! But I feel conflicted. It's rather bizarre. Don't get me wrong, I LIKE seeing Jake naked, but at the same time I get this protective urge and I'm like 'dude, nobody should perv!'.

Love the whole old Hollywood vibe to this movie. Boldness is not something you see often these days. Both Jake and Annie have that air of raw glamour that was once the trademark of true movie stars. Both beautiful but not in an airbrushed sort of way. Right now, I'm thinking of celluloid Adam and Eve and the honest beauty of their nakedness...
And I just can't wait to see LAOD!! You know how that feels, don't you? :-)

Hey Alejandra :D I like that old-fashioned, honest feel too - ir looks fun and sexy (I know I've said that before) and not airbrushed or false. It shows the film's two characters but it also shows the charisma of Jake and Anne having fun! And I love how it's laughing at the viagra emlement. Very very good poster!
And can I say - those are lovly pillows - they're quite purple aren't they? Nice sheet. I do like nice bedding D
