Source Code trailer arrives! Jake Gyllenhaal on Jimmy Fallon

Usually, trailers for Jake Gyllenhaal's movies really take their time about making an appearance, as if they can sense how much we want to see them and want to draw out our agonies of expectation. But Source Code? No way! Completely out of the blue and fantastically early the trailer roared onto the internet last night (thanks for bringing it out while I was asleep though...). This trailer roars along with all the energy and power of a train set to blow up every eight minutes, with Captain Stevens forced into the body of one of its victims, set with the task of discovering the reasons why as the clock ticks through the minutes. And then matters become more complicated...

While Source Code will not do too much to popularise train travel (particularly in Chicago), it's certainly doing its bit to raise my blood pressure.

And if all that excitement wasn't enough, here is Jake on the Jimmy Fallon Show last night.

Thanks to IHJ for the caps. This emergency breakfast post was brought to you courtesy of scrambled egg, toast and a cuppa.

Please remember to visit last night's post to read the EW interview in full.

Hi WDW!
Just watched the SC trailer. What a surprise. Amazing! I think I'm going to like it big time!
Thanks for keeping us so updated!

Jake is BIG. Now he has made himself a broad repertoire of characters. And each one so good on its own.

I did not like Jimmy Fallon's interview this time. Too much "mayonnaise" and "bananas", little about the movie. :o(

Morning Eureka! Very exciting looking film - and yes yet another character and genre for Jake's movie repertoire. What an interesting actor! (and did I say hot...?)

Agreed about Fallon - too much repetition - the sandwich and the bananas. I actually thought I may have been rewatching the last one as some point! That pic of Jake at the Edible Schoolyard event was funny - at the back with an apple in his mouth - how bizarre! And yep, there was more about LAOD in Jake's last appearance on the show!

I watched Jimmy Fallon this morning (I taped it) and I was like, well my mouth was open. I see Jake in the same yellow jumpsuit and I cracked up when he wiggled his butt in that guy's face (oh why couldn't that have been ME :D)

Source Code looks intense. I like intense movies like that.

Jake is showing off ALL his talents including his musical ones

Can't wait to see LAOD then SC

The SC trailer looks great to me!

I thought the Jimmy Fallon interview was fun but it the last time he was on was better. They didn't talk much about LAOD. I do love both of them of course. :)

Hi!
Jimmy Fallon - disappointed me a bit. I like a guy, but this time it was not so interesting.

Source Code trailer is great! Jake looks very well. Movie seems to be very interesting. I didn't expect it so soon. Maybe they wanted to use LAOD promotion to bring attention to SC movie.

Hello everyone! Just got back from seeing Harry Potter :) Next to my cinema is a football stadium and there was a match on today - crazy!

Hi there Karmentxu :) It really is such a shame that LAOD isn't opening at the same time everywhere for us all. But it will come... eventually.

Hi Sweetpea :)

Hey there Get Real! It looks great doesn't it! It's so different from anything Jake's done before - full on action and pace. Thrilling. And I can't wait. I only know Fallon from Jake's appearances and I do like him. It was quite subdued last night but still good to see.

Hi Mermon! I definitely agree that it's not a coincidence with the timing. It's like all the LAOD talk when PoP came out. It does make sense. It's time though for Jake to make another film or else what other film will he be teasing us with when SC opens?!

The source code trailer looks amazing and for once, a trailer that gives you the right info about the film!

Fries and coleslaw in a sandwiches.... Mmm.. I can try that.

Hey Winterbird! It does - and the buzz is good.

Ugh, coleslaw and fries in a sandwich... :D

Great to see the Source Code trailer. I'm a little bit clearer about what the movie's all about now. Looking forward to that one, I think the logic will mess with my head a bit. I like that in a movie. :D
