Source Code takes $100 million and a DVD/Blu ray release date of 26 July

There are two excellent pieces of news tonight. Firstly, Source Code has broken the $100 million mark, which is a fantastic achievement for Duncan Jones, for Jake Gyllenhaal and everyone else involved with this wonderful film. And with Source Code continuing to open around the world, the numbers will only rise. Do keep an eye on Man Made Movies because there are details on release dates there and much more besides.

The other good news is that the Source Code Blu-ray and DVD release has a date, at least for the US: 26 July. Great news indeed that we have a commentary with Jake and Duncan Jones. Jake's commentaries are to be treasured so how good to have the chance to hear both him and Duncan discuss the creation and shape of the film. Looking at the art above, the Blu-ray cover in particular looks wonderful. Thanks to MMM for the heads up!

Hi!
I'm so happy for Duncan, Jake and the rest for SC numbers. This time Jake's movie is appreciated in States as much as all over the world! At last! Congratulations!
I am also happy about those SC commentary. That's fantastic news.

Thank you Kate for the pictures with Atticus in previous post. On some of them Jake looks upset.
I wonder if paparazzi didn't come to close to him, invading his and his friends privacy.

Me too, Susan!

It's such great news, Mermon :D I'm glad you liked the pictures - Jake did look annoyed in some. Fortunately, he knows how to avoid paps most of the time.

I hope everyone's having a good evening!

That's fantastic news for Jake, Duncan and all involved in SC.

I will be looking forward to Jake's commentary on the bluray. Hopefully we will get a bluray release date soon.

I love hearing how great SC is doing! And I can't wait for the Blu-ray (love those bonus features!) but 2 months feels like such a long wait. *practicing patience*

Hope you're feeling back to normal after your busy adventures WDW!

Until next time...

:-)

Yeah! A release date, just the other day Susan and I were wondering how much longer we would have to wait.
Meanwhile I keep waiting for the German release in theaters.

Hi Mrs JG! And still the wait goes on in Germany... But the DVD date is good to have in reserve.

Hi Kate,
just read the last posts. Great and funny as usual. I liked to read that you had a very good day with POTC. You are becoming famous with pieces of your body (your head besides Jake in Berlin, now your arm in the same photo with Johnny Depp :-)) Waiting for a photo that shows "the whole Kate" in only one photo (would be perfect besides Jake).
Good to see Jakes hair is growing again :-)
@Mrs JG: I am also still waiting for the release of SC in Germany. Two more weeks to go :-(
The release date for the blueray will be another date to fix in my calendar :-) Waiting for those commentaries of Jake and Duncan.
Have a nice evening everyone.

So HAPPY for Jake and Duncan. I went to see SC again last Friday: the theater was smaller in size but 3/4 full! I knew it would do well but am pleasantly and happily surprised. I can't wait until I can buy it in Blue Ray. This has become one of my all time favorite movies. I've gone back at least 10 times even at Senior rates that's a bit much...but the movie is too good not see it at least 32095 times. The last time I went to a movie this many times was BBM! I've been waiting for a movie from Jake this good for a long time and it's more than wonderful. I stopped counting BO last week... a week too soon :):) TY again.

Morning Christina! Now, that's a photo I would treasure forever. I can't wait for that commentary! It's been a while since we had one of those. Good to see you!

That's fantastic, Sass! I'm so glad you found a Jake movie to love that much. I love Source Code too. It was definitely worth the wait for Jake to turn to scifi.
