Jake Gyllenhaal with Dakota Fanning on the NYC set of his mother's Very Good Girls

Jake Gyllenhaal had such a good time on the NYC set of his mother Naomi's movie Very Good Girls, he was back again the next day. In the new photos from 19 July, there is an especially stunning image of Jake with Very Good Girls star Dakota Fanning.

The photos also highlight that Jake's membership of a certain historic esoteric society is in fine fettle. Please see earlier picture from the previous decade for comparison. Please note that the rolled up trouser leg has moved from left leg to right leg - obviously significant. Thanks to IHJ for all the pictures.

Jake was also photographed in NYC this morning with a friend. You can see that photo here. Be warned: it's a No Hat Pic.

Now we have a real puzzle! I was sure that pants' leg was rolled for bicycling, but it should be always on one leg, the same leg. So it must be the different reason! Just a style?
I like very much Jake's look without a cap. Longer hair with a scruff on his face make him look very attractive. He seems to enjoy his company.
And enjoying Naomi's film making, mingling with the cast. It's so many pics from that movie on Google, I saw many of them even on Polish news site! Seems that a movie got big attention already. Good.

Poor Jake, he not only has to contend with the fashion police, he has to maintain consistency in every single little aspect of his existence. :) Mermon, I'm not a cyclist, but is it impossible to change which pants leg gets rolled up? It can't be a style - I can deal with wrinkles and untied shoelaces and gigantic beards and hands in pockets, but this is where I draw the line!!

I can't believe someone took a picture at him while he was eating breakfast. That's super crazy rude! That's really breaching privacy!

LOL! @Susan that's a reason behind it! Bicycle has a chain from one side only, you should roll your pants'leg to do not stuck it in the chain, may cause an accident even, not mentioning grease spots or holes in the fabric! Modern bicycles has special protection for a chain, so then it's not needed to roll, if you have v. narrow pants no need as well.

What I find funny is that no one seems to notice that sometimes publications "flip" a picture - I've seen this many times before. So he may just have the same pant leg rolled up, and one set of images is in reverse.

@Leslie, right! That's possible! On some pictures from VGG set, girls rode bicycles, maybe Jake is kind of riding expert there? LOL

We were right!

Hi Lesley, I'm well aware of people flipping pictures - it's done on the banner to the site - but it wasn't mentioned here because firstly, the other picture doesn't look flipped and secondly I was having a joke, poor as it clearly was.

Thanks for the link, Mermon!

Hey! Isn't this girl in the picture in the restaurant the same mysterious Soho girl from the other day?
