[Updated] New set pics... Cougars? COUGARS? A Pittsburgh report, a pic and George Segal is Jake Gyllenhaal's dad

Updated to add new pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal from the set of Love and Other Drugs in Pittsburgh, taken on Thursday. Thanks Gretchen! Is that Oliver Platt?

A report from Pittsburgh: 'The Jake Gyllenhaal-Anne Hathaway movie "Love and Other Drugs" continued production at a rented home in the East End. Less than a dozen people gathered to watch the film crew but the scenes were all being shot inside, out of view. Ellie Feibus, 22, who lives in a carriage house nearby, has glimpsed Mr. Gyllenhaal and even got a wave from actor George Segal, who plays his father.'

'"Yesterday there was a whole group of cougars standing there waiting for Jake," Ms. Feibus said, referring to some of Mr. Gyllenhaal's older female fans. "It was cool but I'm over it."' Full report here.

Meanwhile, one very lucky and happy girl, Talituna, met Jake Gyllenhaal on set yesterday and, thanks to her, we at last get our wish - a picture from Pittsburgh and it's a great one!

Picture from Talituna, post by a Cougar.

Have a great "last day at work" :)

Cougar fans? Mmmm.... in a way, I am kind of glad that Jake is appealing to a different demographic than all the Zac Efron and Pattinson... *g*

Morning!

Happy Last Day at Work WDW! I'm on the last day of my big work project and it's a good feeling. Hope to get to spend a bit more time on line doing some fun things and not just work things for a change.

Wow, that pic just about knocked me out of my chair last night - that sweater on him is hot, and I love the color, I love his his hair, he's gorgeous. He is very sexy in that pic.

BTW, before my mind was erased by Jake's gorgeousness, I had planned to say that I think George Segal is a great choice to play Jake's father in LaOD - there's even a slight resemblance? Loving the idea of LaOD. :)

Well, cougar sounds better than DOW (Dirty Old Woman)! :D How much older than Jake do we have to be to be considered cougars? I couldn't be his mother but I could be his much older sister.

Yay! Finally a picture from Pittsburgh and it really is a great one. I hope we get more. Very soon. With Anne. Without sunglasses. And without any hat whatsoever (his hair is so gorgeous right now!).

I hope you have a nice last day at work, WDW. Is leaving that job a good thing or a bad thing?

Have a good Friday everyone!

Olympia

^^LOL, I know, it could be worse! It's nice if you're going to be called something, such a magnificent, beautiful and powerful creature as a cougar. I'll never forget seeing one up close and personal one day - over six feet long, the most beautiful aquamarine eyes, you wouldn't stand a chance! :)

I'd like to see Anne too - love her. :)

*blows kisses to talituna!*

Love that picture. Jake looks just like himself! I resent the word cougars to describe gorgeous "experienced" women who just happened to be walking by.
Obviously the poster was jealous!

He's Lookin' Good, BBMISwear :-) Here's hoping we get many more. Good luck with your last big project day. It is a relief to stand still at the end.

Hey Cougarus Americanus :D Great name! Jake is super hot in this pic - we're going to be in for a treat with LAOD. And I think it's good about Segal too.

Hi Olympia! Me too - I'm not sure I'm old enough to be a cougar - that's my story and I'm sticking to it. The hair is looking great!

I'm going to miss my old job but a good opportunity offered itself, it's hard finishing a job you like though...

Hey Anon! Yeah, it could be worse, a lot worse. It seemed such a random comparison...:D Can't wait to see Jake and Anne. It can't be long now. I hope.

Gorgeous experienced women is right Tawanda :D I'm sure Jake is happy to have us :D

That's good news, Monica :) Thanks for the link!

Have a great Friday everyone! I have chocolates and wine as gifts from work so I hope you'll join me *)

That is most definitely true, TD :D (although, having said that walruses are my third favourite animals after penguins and ducks - but I don't want to be compared to one...)

I rem. a tv show in the last year or so where some women in the 40 or so age group went to a party and there were younger men there and of course one of them said - Look at the Cougars - and it was used as a put-down.
It's used as a kind of - what's wrong with women who might find a 25 year old guy attractive but if a man in his 40's finds a woman who is 25 attractive - there's a kind of "way to go" among men.
Actually people are people and not "code names" and sometimes there are relationships that work out between people of age differences and good for them.

At the moment you can't imagine Zac or Pattinson and some of the others making movies like BBM or
Rendition at a young age, as Jake has done. Even Donnie Darko is not a typical "teenage" movie.

Hi JakeFan! It's great to see Jake smiling like that. I love following him when he's working. With PoP it was difficult but this is going to be a lot of fun.

Hi Anon! That's quite a put down when it's used like that. I've never been keen on people being stereotyped as a bunch of animals, whatever the type. I'll stick with Gyllenhaalic - admiring a fine actor who happens to be hot is no disgrace.

I definitely agree about the films - whatever his age, Jake has made mature films and has never been an actor known for playing the roles teens would go for. He could have done, but he didn't. I like the mix of the occasional blockbuster and the more 'serious' movies in between. I'm very intrigued by LAOD.

Jake has managed to cover a lot of different movie genres: Science fiction ("Donnie Darko"), action/adventure {"Prince of persia"), military ("Jarhead"), Western {Brokeback Mountain"}, animated {"The Man who Walked Between the Towers"), police procedural/detective ("Zodiac"), family drama {"Proof," "Brothers"), politcal/current events ("Rendition"). I hope "Nailed" will make it to the theaters so he'll have a romantic comedy to his credit.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Paul! Jake's repertoire of movies is amazing and, I think, outstanding for an actor of his age. I'm with you on Nailed. I really want to see it. It would be a very different role for Jake and I'd love to see what he could do with it.
