If you're looking for somewhere to go to watch the Oscars this year, then Pittsburgh might not be your first choice. But, The Pitt as we came to know and love it during the filming of Love and Other Drugs, is hosting an Oscars party during which there's a silent auction where you can bid on items including those donated by Jake and Anne Hathaway. Obviously it has to be a silent auction or otherwise you wouldn't hear all of the speeches.
In this video interview Jake and Anne answer a number of questions about being comfortable nude together (no doubt this question will come up again) and about how hard it is for Jake 'even you?!' Gyllenhaal to get a girl's phonenumber. Apparently it's something to do with women being 'an amazing breed' and 'complicated creatures'. Anne puts him right.

@LadyEkster, Jake had movie sex with Jennifer Aniston in The Good Girl. And then there was Jena Malone in Donnie Darko, but not so much. And Ellen Pompeo in Moonlight Mile, sort of. Gwynneth Paltrow in Proof (ugh).
I'd love to see Nailed! Maybe it will eventually go straight to DVD if it never goes to theaters.

I love the chemistry between Jake and Anne on the promotional train for LAOD. You can really see their friendship coming through on that clip.
I love when Jake says he's had some experience in the "movie sex realm". Made me think of Nailed too when he said that. Will we ever get to see that movie at this stage.

Jake looks amazingly well in coats. And this set of suit and scarf (similar to London outfit)is something new in fashion for me or maybe I'm not up to date with fashion, but it looks interesting.
So this time Jake stays at the hotel, not at his sisters house? I know she's in London, but last time she was out of the States as well and he lived at her place (probably)
Video is just as sympathetic as the previous ones. It's almost boring to repeat how wonderful they are together, but it's very nice to watch them again :)
@Susan has mentioned sex in Donnie Darko movie. That was always a mystery to me. Did Gretchen and Donnie have sex upstairs during the Halloween party or was it only kissing? Judging by holding hands on the stairs it could be sex. And it would be great for Jake to have such a nice experience before he died. But on the other hand in such a young age, with a bunch of people downstairs, especially older sister, I'm not so sure if they would be brave enough to do it for the first time.

Hi Mermon! When Jake's anywhere on movie business he'll stay in hotels, even in LA. It'll make it easier and less stressful. I love Jake in scarves :D

The guy in the background in the pic is the same guy from the same hotel when Jake did POP promotion in NYC. Except this time the guy has his mouth shut. I guess he must be the doorman. And he's awfully cute too. I should go to NYC hotels more often.

LOL @ Bubble Boy. I'm still in stitches whenever I watch that scene. The whole film is such a gem, I love it. It will probably still be in my Top Ten by the time Jake hits 50. ;)
@Susan: you're right, I hadn't thought of that scene in The Good Girl. Probably because I don't find it sexy in any way. *big grin* He has done quite a couple of love scenes, but a real sex scene? I'm guessing LAOD is going to make up for that. ;)

Ya know, mermon, I had wondered that for a long time about sex in Donnie Darko (mostly because of how much I would hate Jena Malone). All of your reasons why it would have been difficult are good, but I like mine: Jake was in a one-piece skeleton costume! So I comforted myself by thinking he could not have had sex (though the hand-holding was tough to dismiss). Then I was reminded that it was a parallel universe so anything was possible, like getting into the locked school at night, driving an ax into a 20' statue, etc. Considering that context, I guess they did it, alas.
WDW, how was the audience reaction & response for LAOD during & after the press screening ?
@gyllenhaalisgr8 - you're right, I didn't think about skeleton costume. As I remember Donnie was 16 years old, I think at that age kissing and holding are very important. And quite sufficient. So I think they didn't. One great question to ask Jake about :)
